Arrival Story:
I was in search of a Border Collie or Australian Shepherd a few years ago when I was contacted by an English Shepherd breeder. After a ton of research, and a few months later, Gamble and his brother Anchor were shipped to me from South Dakota. When I picked them up from the airport, we had to wait another hour because the flight was delayed. When they finally arrived, I followed the attendant anxiously to the cargo dock and found two, four month old, scared-out-of-their-mind balls of fluff. They were bigger than I anticipated, with HUGE paws. I'll never forget the look on my moms face when I brought home my "little puppies." I love my Boys so much!

Gamble is a smart one. He picks up on things very quickly, and is so eager to please. He was born a very light sable, and was always thin. He was the runt and his tiny little stub could never compare to Anchor's long, fully-furred tail. Lately, Gamble has been filling out; his once stubby tail is now full of thick fur, like his brother's. His coat is getting a lot darker, and his once mahogany eyes are lightening and are more a dark Amber. Before it was easy to tell them apart, but it's getting a bit tricky now. Gamble is an escape artist. He can get out of almost anything. He is very shy, and can get scared when things happen suddenly. He is very gentle, rather than eating my hand like Anchor, he is very careful with his teeth when I feed him by hand.
