Likes:
Attention...being baby talked...she is insecure you have to tell her how pretty she is ALL the time!

Pet-Peeves:
Maggie doesn't like Casey very much. She is rather bossy and keeps both dogs in line. If either dog does something naughty she will get right in front of them and lick their faces.

Favorite Toy:
Hedgy, nylabone

Favorite Food:
KIBBLE! She doesn't like to share either.

Favorite Walk:
backyard

Best Tricks:
we are just now getting her to lie down.

Arrival Story:
Maggie was found (approx. 9 months old) skinny as a bone, filthy, covered in ticks, abandoned on a golf course. A friend at work knew that I would give her a good home. She was terrible for the first 4-5 months we had her. She would not be house trained, or walk on a lead. We think she must have been ill treated before she came to us. She was terrified of cars and skittish around people. She chewed up our furniture. She had knee problems that were going to be costly to fix. We were considering finding her a new home. She really gave us a hard time. Then when my husband and I agreed we would give her one more week...she turned into the sweetest angel puppy in the whole world. She stopped the accidents in the house. She settled down, she became miss manners. They say strays are the best dogs and Maggie is one of the best!!!! The only bad habit she retained is she will dig up grubs and eat them. It must be how she lived during her stray days.

Bio:
Maggie may have shiny black fur, georgeous brown eyes, the silkiest ears, and THE curliest tail, but she has the personality of a stereotypical dumb blonde sorority girl. She will sit and tilt her head and gaze at you and wait for you to reassure her how pretty she is. You HAVE to say "Oh Maaaaggie what shiny black fur you have...Oh Maaaaggie is your tail naturally curly?....Oh Maggie you are soooooo pretty!" And you would never dream of saying "goodness maggie have you put on weight?"

Forums Motto:
I am so pretty!!!

Maggie Stories

Miss Jealousy

Maggie is an attention hound. If you are not giving her 100% of your attention you can almost see her heart shattering into 1000 pieces. If we try to love up one of the other dogs she will just start crying and try to push the other dog away and get under your hand. Sometimes we have to sneak the other dogs into another room to play with them one on one.

I think Maggie is in love with my husband. In the morning when he gets out of bed she immediately takes his spot in the bed and watches him get ready for work. She gives him a lovesick gaze that says 'please please don't leave...stay with me all day'. After he goes she gets depressed for awhile and then decides that I am an OK substitute.

My husband and I have occasional back troubles. Maggie somehow knows who needs it most. She loves being in the bed with us. She will stretch her back up against yours and push hard against the other human in the bed. The effect is like the best heating pad you've ever used.

Maggie is on my lap helping me type this. I hope she can't read. She loves her dogster page. She sits up in my lap and I tell her "Oh Maaaagie look! Someone left a bone for you!" She gets very happy about bones and rosettes and especially dog pals. Being the insecure type of dog she is, popularity is extremly important to her. The other two dogs could care less, although they do enjoy dog pals.
