Hi Everyone

Hey everyone...sorry I haven't written in my diary lately, but Mom's been busy with other things, and I just had to help her out. Cause...without my help, Mom wouldn't get much done.

Not much really has happended since I last wrote. I did get to go riding with Dad in the truck since, and I just love to go riding. Mom and Dad did get a new car though. At first I wasn't sure about it. But, I'm getting used to it. As a matter of fact, it's so I can pick out my own seat in the back. That way Idon't have to share with Maggy...though SHE thinks she has to be in my seat. But, Mom eventually gets the hint that I'm not happy she's in it with me and she makes her move (YEA!). But, Mom and Dad's new car has this thing between the seats in the front so getting up to the front isn't as easy as it used to be..then they have to put a towel over it which makes it even harder to get across. Why they do that I have no clue to. And then, on top of that there seem to be more places for Mom to hide things. I know they're there, but just can't figure out how to get to them.

Earlier this month it was so nice to be outside, and then today I see this white stuff coming down. I'm not really happy about that either. But, when Mom puts me outside I knw she won't just leave me there for very long.

Boy, Mom was not really happy a couple of days ago. The next door neighbor put their puppy in the shed right next to our bedroom window. We didn't get much sleep that night. Especially Maggy. Whenever that puppy started barking and wining, she tried to get Mom to go out and help it. But, of course Mom couldn't do that. But she did do one thing I was so proud of....she called the people who help animals and they went over there and checked on it. And ever since then we haven't heard it in the shed.

Well, I guess I had better stop for now. Hopefully I'll start writing more in here then what I've done in the past. Everyone take care.

Whats Happening??

For the last few days Mom has been busy putting paper around stuff. I try to sit next to her and figure this out and all she does is shoo me away. Then I try to check out the stuff under this tree (and why it's decorated with these lights and hangy things if beyond me) she chases me away from that! How am I suppose to figure things out when she does this to me? She keeps telling me that I need to behave my self or Santa (now who THAT is I have no clue) won't come. All I know is I sure wish things would get back to normal around here. And I wish Mom would take me to see this "Santa" person. Maybe he can explain to me what's happening!

My Road Trip

Wow, last Saturday was really an exciting day for me. I got to go riding with Mom and Dad in the big truck. We sure did get up early though. I'm not really used to that (only when I want Mom to let me outside at night). At first we went to Battle Creek. Then while they were loading Dad's truck up, someone got up to dads door and I think his name was John and started talking to me. At first I didn't know wht to make of him. I'm just not use to having someone start off talking to me (but I was enjoying it cause he was talking to "me", not Dad...he he he). But after a few minutes I was fine with it. Then suddenly he was gone!! But that was ok cause it wasn't to long after that we started down the road.

After a few minutes (which actually seemed like 30 minutes) Dad pulled into some place to put some stuff in the truck to make it go. So while he was doing that I sat up on Mom's lap and watched eveything. Maggy tried to get up there too, but there just wasn't enough room for both of us. So I was able to boot her down...at least until Mom picked her up and got her and me situated up on her lap. Then all of a sudden Dad got back in the truck and pulled it forward a little bit and him and Mom left us!! I wasn't to happy about that. How dare they do that!! But, I was good and stood guard and made sure no one else bothered the truck. And you know what??? I got a reward for doing it. When Mom and Dad came back to the truck they had a nice warm peanut butter cookie for me. And, BOY WAS IT GOOD!!! Only thing about it though I had to share it with Maggy. I don't know why. I did the guarding of the truck...no matter what she says. Anyway it was good.

While Mom was giving me my cookie we started down the road. Now this time we were on the road for a while. I heard Mom say something about us ging to Howell to see Pepsi (who ever that is). Well when we got to Pepsi's Dad had to get out of the truck for a bit. While we were sitting there waiting for Dad there was another truck next to ours and the nice guy waved to us. I was good and didn't bark at him either. Mom was really proud of me for that. We then went back into the bunk (you know where Dad sleeps) and took a little nap. Dad even came in and joined us for a few minutes. But then he had to leave again and go outside and do something to the truck and down the road we went again.

After a bit we had to stop so Maggy and I could go potty. The place we stopped at was kind of cool. All kinds of things to snip at. After that Mom and Dad put us in the truck again and darn it....they left us again. But that was ok, cause they brought me and Maggy some lunch. It was sooooooo good! I got a hamburger with a few french fries. Now that was a treat, cause Mom doesn't usually let us have anything like that. And then....you got it....down the road we went again, back into Battle Creek.

When we got there, Mom and Dad let me out of the truck for awhile to run around on my long leach. I was really a good boy too. I didn't even bark at some people who came up to me and scratched my head and told me how pretty I was. That's when I noticed there were alot of people across the street from where we were and Mom and Dad took me and Maggy over there. It was great!! Not only did I happen to get a small treat there, but all kinds of people were telling me that I was pretty and I was even able to give them some kisses (especially when Mom wasn't looking).

After a little bit we had to head back to the truck cause we had to go and visit Pepsi again. That was ok cause by this time I was really getting tired. So I decided to get up on Dad's bed for a bit and take a little nap. And even on the way home I slept on the floor and napped. It was such a good day and I really want to say "THANK YOU MOM AND DAD FOR TAKING ME!!"

Something Different

Wow, I don't know what got into Mom the yesterday. She came home fromwork, and Michael was home. I stood watching them out the back door and they were putting some stone down in front of the door. And for some reason they wouldn't let me out until it was done. But, when it was done, it made the back yard look different. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like it and wanted the old back yard back...but after a few minutes of looking it over (after she FINALLY let me out) I decided....hey it's not bad at all. She put this stone in front of the door and out aways from the door...you know it kind of covered the bare ground up. Finally...something was done about that stuff! Now it won't feel so yucky under my feet, and I really hate my feet feeling like that. I'm sure glad she made this change, but I know it's going to take me a few days to get used to it. That's ok...I'll just continue to checkit out and check those stones to make sure they're not going anywhere. And if they do....I'll tell Mom!!

Why Me?

Today my brother, Michael took Maggy with him! Why didn't he take me? I never get to go with him anywhere? Well, if that's what he wants to be...find. I'll just go in his room when I know I'm not suppose to. That doesn't mean I'll go in there and do "nothing". Thats why I'll keep him guessing! But,watch out!!! When he least expects me, that's when I'll get him. That will teach him for leaving me at home.

Gosh....Mom's Picky

Well, Mom got home tonight and she wasn't home a half an hour and she was at me again. First she got me up on the counter and then started using that darn special comb. Then she got out some other kind of comb/brush and started working on my ears. She is soooo picky when it comes to them. She started combing, and combing, and combing and was she ever pulling out some knots that were at the ends of my ears. But, you know something? Between you and me, I sure do love Mom brushing me out! It is sooooo relaxing that I almost fall asleep while she's doing it. At one point tonight she actually stopped and asked me if I was awake. Well, it took me a minute to open my eyes and look at her like......"yea...what do you think I'm doing..sleeping on the job"? Boy, what kind of dog soes she think I am. I don't sleep on the job! At least not like some other dogs do.

Anyway, when she was done brushing me out, she took some stuff and sprayed in in her hand and rubbed it all over me. Hopefully this will help with my itching and scratching. If I continue to do it, I know what's coming next. Yep, you guessed it.............A BATH!

How Hansom I Am

Mom finally took me to the groomers today, so I got a haircut. Now I don't have Grouch Marx eyebrows. It always makes me feel soooo much better to get all that hair off. Plus with it being so hot I do feel much better. Like after I got home I took a nice long nap. I got up a couple of times, but not to much. Then when it started cooling down I wanted to go outside with Mom while she cooked outside. She let me out a couple of times, but after a while she told me I had to stay inside cause it was still way to hot outside. She really worries about us when it gets to hot. She doesn't like to let out in the heat to much....which is fine with me. So I bet tonight I'll really sleep good.

A Quiet Night

Tonight everyone is really kind of quiet around here. Mom really isn't doing much but now that she's off the computer...heeeeee...I'm on it now! She's just sitting in her chair watching some television show, Maggy's just laying around and Kelly's sound asleep. I'm not sure what's up with her though. I know she was gone all day today and when she came home she was really sleepy. She's been sleeping practically since she got home. But, I have to say she sure is looking pretty tonight. So, if I would have to guess where she went, I think she went for a bath of her own today. You know, I have to even admit I'm kind of lazy tonight too. So.....I guess I'll go back and take another nap... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Just Another Day

Well, I know I haven't written lately, but Mom's been kind of busy around here. So, I've been tagging behind her lately. Mom was home with me on Friday. It was really kind of nice to have her home. She was "dancing" around the house and singing to me and Maggy. Then yesterday Dad came home. But, when he came home him and Mom left for the day. They don't get a chance to spend time with each other very much anymore, so it was ok that I stayed home. And when they did come home I was really happy to see them. But, Dad had to leave again later that evening and was gone all night. He didn't get home until early this afternoon and was home with us all day.

I got to go up town with Mom and Dad tonight. Mom had to take Dad to the truck so he could get it ready to leave again in the morning. I sure do miss him when he is gone. But, I make sure he knows I'm soooo happy when he returns from his trips.
