Arrival Story: We were waiting for her puppies to be born in hopes of buying a Blenheim puppy- to raise with Holly our Ruby Cavalier--We work a lot & thought it best to get two puppies. Unfortunately Peggy had emergency surgery, lost the puppy and could have no more safely--Our breeder was looking for a loving pet home and was nice enough to offer her to us. We were overjoyed! She is a very shy little lady except with other dogs. She loves them all! She was very sad at first because she had lost her baby, but she smiles more each day! We think she likes her new home, although somehow we know that she misses all the puppies she has loved & her old friends both human & canine. She is like another mother to Holly. Here we are in the summer of 2012! My typist is finally home for the summer, which is rather convenient at times. My typist, my human mummy, is not my favorite, you see. I much prefer my Daddy. I admit that I arrived here at my furever home, with a few prejudices. My previous owners were breeders, and although the ladies may have meant well, I admit that it was a pretty miserable existence. Most human contact was for something very unpleasant and rushed. When I arrived here, my mummy proceeded to do some of the same things. We stuggled together though baths, ear cleanings, brush outs and blow-dryers, medicines and she even tried brushing my teeth.. something I had NEVER had before! Daddy on the other hand is the kindest and most loving human on the planet! He would never do anything that I don't like, and he even shares his dinner with me when SHE isn't looking...and of course, he tells me how beautiful I am and how much he loves me...ah.. well.. I have come to see the good side of mummy too. She's not so bad.. but mind you, I am now and forever a Daddy's Girl and I am very, very happy here!

I'm not usually one to complain as most of you know. However, I simply must grumble and growl a bit today. I am always SUCH a good girl...a princess actually. I am always on duty... watching over the young ones, trying to keep them out of trouble and attempting to train our humans...not an easy task I can tell you! And how am I rewarded? Well... let me see... Monday mom took ONLY me to the car.... boy did I feel SPECIAL.. I assumed we were going out for some quality one-on-one time as a reward for all that I do for this family...perhaps some ice-cream will be included! WRONG... Instead mom pulled the car up in front of the SNOOTY POODLE! That means one of two things, pals.. Either I am getting left in a cage while the rest of the family goes away for a nice outing... OR... I am getting a bath and groomed! Either way... NO FUN! OMD... Well I survived the Snooty...as I call it... I thought...PHEW... I'm done for a while... WRONG... The very next day.... DEJA VU.... Mom chose ME... ONLY me...off to the car we went and away we went... oh no...I wanted to shout, "MOM, we did this yesterday! Are you losing your marbles?" But then, I realized where we were! THE DREADED VET office! OMD... In we went...well...Mom had to carry me as I decided to plant myself firmly upon the grass! Mom won...we went inside... I smiled my most charming smile... but OW... I found I was stabbed anyway by a large needle. They seemed to be stealing all of my blood! OMD... I thought misquitoes were bad! And mom did absolutely nothing to stop them! At least she took me home again at long last... so I guess I will keep her...Still, I wonder if some of my pals would adopt me. Hmm... Hey Amber & Poppy.... Princess Mia? Anyone have a crate for lease? You both have very nice mums and moms! Anyway, I had almost forgotten it all when I heard the car keys today... and realized mom had set MY leash out once again...Then I overheard her talking to someone on the phone..... She thinks that I don't understand english...but what I heard horrified me! Apparently I am going BACK to the VET CLINIC in a few minutes for something called a DENTAL and they may have pull some of my teeth.... OMD...OMD....Will this week EVER END! It's only thursday.... OMD... I will never complain again when mom tries to brush my teeth... Gotta Go..... Please keep me in your prayers pals!
