I fell in love with him and felt so terrible for what he has endured, He is currently at a shelter awaiting a forever home. Can you help out Tommy Van Gogh? He resides at a local shelter in RI. He has been there since January and needs URGENT PLACEMENT!!! Call me now if you can at 401-823-8851. He does come with three free obedience lessons. New England Residents ONLY PLEASE
Tommy Van Gogh is a wounded soldier deserving a purple metal of honor. He lost his ear in battle. One might ask how Tommy Van Gogh ended up being in the wrong place at the wrong time? Breed Specific Legislation laws is the answer. Tommy had a nice home but was ousted from his community in RI due to Breed Specific Laws. His only crime? Being born a pit bull!!! Panicking and having no where to place Tommy, his owner temporarily placed him at another home with another un-neutered male and female in heat until he could get him a permanent home. BAD IDEA. The other male thought he should battle for the Princess in waiting and Tommy decided that he was a lover not a fighter. He never fought back. Tommy Van Gogh is a two year old American Pit Bull Terrier/mix. He is sweet, lovable, neutered, up to date on his shots, and heart worm tested. Our Tommy is such a courageous boy indeed! He doesn't display dog-dog aggression even after being attacked, but he is not a feline fan so cat owners need not apply for him. We would like to place him as the only pet in the house hold so he can finally be king of his castle. He is currently being obedience trained by his own personal trainer who specializes in training his breed. He has been temperament tested by his personal Trainer Susan, as well as his vet, and he passed with flying colors. Tommy is extremely receptive to training and is doing very well. Tommy Van Gogh will come with 3 free obedience lessons.

Wow, what a wonderful day! Finally Tommy after all this time. A very nice family came into the West Warwick shelter to visit all the dogs we had available. Jeff said marvelous things about you and the couple felt bad for you and took you home!!
Lets say our prayers things work out well for you and we only see you back for a visit not to return again as a resident!!!
Tons of us are rooting for you!!! Many prayers are being said for you that you are finally home for good!!! Goodness knows you deserve it!!!

I am really trying my best to help you out. I was told only yesterday 8/2/06 that you were on the schedule to be put to sleep on 8/4/06. I was told that Your time was up! No one wants to adopt you due to them thinking you are a freak! Well, I don't think you are a freak. You are a wonderful dog with a great personality. Its not your fault what happened to you. Tommy, you are a victim and I am going to see that you get a wonderful home. I promise you I will try my best to help you!
I decided that you had been through so much and you really are a wonderful dog that I could not let you die at the hands of a cold stranger.
So, last night and this morning, I made frantic calls and the Animal Control Officers Jeff and Amanda at West Warwick Shelter were gracious enough to let you come and be a resident at their shelter for a while. Now, you will be able to get walked by new people that you can make friends with and your dog trainer will be able to visit you more regularly! You also will get new exposure and be promoted for the great guy that you really are! So, lets home this move was a good idea. I could not let you die Tommy.
You still need a home of your own and I notice that you are getting lonely. But, you still have that wonderful zest for life that I so admire in you. Jeff ordered pizza for lunch today and he gave you the left overs. You seemed so happy to just have someone pay attention to you in a positive way! You also enjoyed the pizza very much too!
Tommy, you don't let much get you down. Even when you came this close to death!
So, the plan is the ACTIVELY get you adopted before its too late for you.
Please anyone that has a heart think of adopting poor Tommy. I would take him myself but I own cats and my inn is already at maximum capacity.
Please contact Susan at 401-823-8851 if you can adopt or even foster Tommy.

Tommy Van Gogh has been a resident at a local shelter in Rhode Island since January. He came into the shelter after his major surgery. Tommy is Urgent and needs placement now. He can be with submissive dogs but NO Cats as he is not a feline fan!
Tommy is extremily smart and I have used him as a demo dog for a group of 20 teen agers in the Explorers group.
Tommy Excelled. Tommy also seems to enjoy being around handicaped people. He understands what they go through in their daily lives.
Tommy is great at obedience and will make a super pet if only given the chance.
Please help me help TOMMY!!!
