Today is my birthday! I knew it cause I woke mom up at 5:30 am with lots of kissies, I usually don't get up that early. So mom took me for a little walk and told me she had lots of surprised for me today. We are having a party for me soon. Mom made a great doggie cake shaped like a bone. I'm sure Peanut and Blue will love it. Mom won't let me open my presents yet, so I keep going up and sniffing them. I think one of them is a new ball. It's going to be the best birthday ever!

Mom put me on her raft today and we floated together in the pool. She let me swim to daddy a few times. Mom said I'm a great swimmer and I look just like a little row boat. Blue wanted to try but he's not a very good swimmer, he's just goofy. I liked when mommy would hold me in the water in her arms to get some rest. I may join the olympic swim team!

I loved Gretchen from the day my husband brought her home. She is my baby. I often wonder if she realizes she's a dog. I know she is overly protective of me and barks a little too much but she's very sweet. I've been giving her kisses on the cheek every morning since she was a baby. Now she wakes me up by crawling up on my chest and she pushes her cheek onto my lips. When I stop giving her kissies she softly swipes her paw across my lips as if to say "more kissies mommy". Its the most adorable thing ever. This picture really lets you see her personality. She's a little princess that gets scared sometimes cause she's little!
