Hey guys, its me Fudgeybutt,

I'm getting so excited my butt is going 100 mph (which is likely why I'm a little more in shape than I was) its almost CHRISTMAS!!! But more about that later.

I've been having so much fun lately I can't stand it. I've been going to day care a lot since Dad had surgery. I LOVE daycare. I pull Mom all the way to the door and sit like such a good boy waiting to get in, unlike someone else I know... BLU, But I digress. Its been a lot of fun with the daycare crew and I hear I'm heading for a visit with Grandma, and since I'm Grandma's FAVORITE Bully I'm sure there will be lots of Havarti cheese and lots of time in the backyard! Blu and I are going to try and not destroy it this time.. But those little creatures are hiding in the ground, I swear, and I just want to play with them, I wouldn't hurt a hair on their bodies, Honest...

So on to Christmas, I'm so excited. I hear that Blu and I will have some treats under the Christmas tree this year which is going to be so cool.... We've destroyed all our toys and some of Georgia's (our malamute cousin) so I'm hoping to get some good ones. The one downside is Mom is playing dress up again and I HATE having stuff on my head... So its a struggle, but I humor her, cause she loves me.

See ya'll later, Happy Holidays...

So I've been busy. I got my Canine Good Citizen certification and before we could even celebrate, my lame parents went out of town and got stranded. Chicago weather is bad, and Daddy brings bad luck when travelling, at least that's what Mom says...

I got to stay with my Grandparents and that was awesome, even though there was lots of commotion. My Uncle was using crutches and Grandma was ready to rip her hair out with Blu.

I'm glad I'm the greatest!

Love,
Fudge

So first off, I'm REALLY tired, we went to the beach!!! It was awesome. I like to just run all over and sniff all the dogs, I'm not one of those "fetchers" I do my own thing. Blu was swimming a whole lot, but I thought it was best to pretend to ignore Mommy and run all over. It was funny.

I updated my sleepy picture...

PS, My little brother got in so much trouble last night for eating Mom's seat belt buckle on the drivers side, Mom can't drive the car!

Fudgybutt,
You are my first pet. I always grew up with animals but you were the first that was truly mine. I had literally just moved into my new 1 bdrm apartment when I made up my mind that I was definitely getting a dog. I knew it was going to be a lot of work. It was a time in my life where I felt I needed company and I needed something to take care of. I knew the look of the dog I wanted, and I wanted a dog that smiles. I saw you on petfinder, you were tiny in the picture and listed as a Boxer/Terrier mix. I was looking for a Beagle/Boxer and decided I wanted to try and adopt you. Carrie contacted me right away letting me know that you were in Indiana (Dearborn County), and that she had a transport scheduled already, and she could add you. You guys were coming for a home "visit". Daddy wasn't too thrilled about this whole getting a dog thing.

When you and Carrie arrived, I about died. You were HUGE compared to what I was looking for. You pulled me all over the place. How was I going to be able to walk a 60 lb dog that lunged at everything? I had only purchased a crate and bed. I didn't have food or even a water bowl! I didn't have a backyard at the new place oh and you are a pitmix, which we didn't know at the time. I literally still had moving boxes everywhere. After a couple of hours, Carrie looked at me and asked me what I thought. I couldn't bear the thought of sending you back, something about you just clicked.

Daddy came over to meet you and I told him there in the street that you were mine. So we drove around all over on a Sunday night to find you food, dishes etc.. I think we settled on Alpo for the night because no where else was open. Aunt Karin looked at you and said you were part pit. I freaked out. I wasn't supposed to have pits in the building. I didn't want the responsibility of a pit, and people would cross the street when they saw you. My family didn't know what the hell I was thinking, the first time Aunt Pat came over you damn near broke the door down barking and lunging. I didn't have any experience, and you were a pitbull. The media told me you were a killer, and I feared for the safety of Stella and Jack, your feline siblings. After a couple of weeks, I noticed pitties everywhere. I just didn't know that they were pits or bulldogs. We made great friends in that neighborhood. You were fast friends with the toddler on the corner and his bulldog brother. You would sit forever letting him pet you, not once flinching or jumping.

Fudge you have been the best thing that has happened to us. You are a natural comedian, even entertaining your stoic Aunt Karin, the daycare crew, and you've managed to charm your Grandma, who isn't easily charmed by the likes of animals, especially big "pitbulls". Daddy and I show you off as much as we can, you are gentle and kind, you are dedicated and loyal, but independent. I recently found out which shelter you came from and contacted them. They were so happy to hear from us, as apparently you had charmed them to. I've learned that they have a 67% euthanasia rate, and usually pitties don't make it out. They sent me a puppy picture of you, since you were full grown when I got you. You were saved by them. 4 months in a rural shelter is a long time for any dog to wait, and I couldn't imagine my life without you.

You've handled all the changes the last 1.5 years have brought and you've done so flawlessly. You are an awesome friend and brother and Daddy and I look forward to all our future adventures with you and Baby Blu.

Love Always,
Mom and Dad

Busy Summer

So its been one crazy summer. My brother and I have quite the social calendar. We have daycare once a week, we got to the beach once or twice a week, we go running with Dad twice a week and walking with Mom. PLUS we get to play with the malamutes downstairs on the weekend. I've never had so much fun!

Unfortunately, its been raining lately. I hate not being able to do stuff outside and I don't like being in the rain, I HATE the rain.

Mom got mad at me this morning because I trash the bed in the 2nd bedroom. I didn't mean it, I just was bored! Doesn't she know that my peeps are there to entertain me? And THEN she and Dad had the audacity to go to work! The nerve of some people.

Lately Mom's been putting the harnass on me again... I used to like to pull, but now, not so much. I'd rather mom help me along... Too much work for me.

Mom and Dad took me to this place for something called the Canine Good Citizen Certification. Dad had to tell me to do all this stuff, but I got bored with it toward the end, and well didn't come to Dad when he called. So I failed :( I'm going to try harder next time. I think Mom and Dad are going to take us at the end of the month.

I'm headed off for now... I'm waiting for Mom and Dad to get home. I think Dad is taking us running tonight, Woo Hoo!!!

Angry pittie

So I'm mad. My spoiled little brother takes everything from me. Doesn't matter what it is. And my dumb parents try to give me other stuff but I want what he took, is that so wrong???

So finally I had it yesterday. The little snot took my bone, took my buster cube, took my nylabone and that was it, it was ON! I kicked the little squirts rearend, he didn't know what hit him. Mom thinks I must have some boxer in my blood 'cause I got up on my hind legs are started jabbing the little brat. Dad got mad and made us go outside, and I just wailed on Blu. How dare he take my stuff, and rain on my parade...

Then of course the 'rents leave us AGAIN! How dare they leave us.. Blu went in his crate with something that smelled good, and I got my bone all to myself in the office, I was a little too wired to stay out with the kitties and I really wanted my bone. No one else can have it!!! But then they left, and I went on hunger strike... I left that meaty bone there the whole time and slept. That will teach them to leave me!

Kitties

Kitties confuse me. I have two kitties in my house. The loud grey one and the MEAN striped one. Stella is the loud one. I really like her a lot. She sometimes will come sniff me or will lay on the bed with me. She'll even let me stiff her backside (I'm a gross dog) but everytime I bow down to play she runs away! Mom says chasing her is impolite, so I don't, but I really want her to play!! What a tease that little loud grey thing is!!!

Jack (He's the boss) won't play with anyone but Dad. Sometimes he plays with Stella but he bites her real hard and then chases her (doesn't look like a fun game to me). I generally look the other way when Jack is coming because he puffs up like a BIG puffer fish and smacks me with his long nails. I hate that. It hurts my feelings, so its best that I look the other way.

I feel so rejected. How can I make Stella love me and play with me???

I blame all of this on Blu, he's the one that barks at her and stalks her down the hall. I sniff and leave her alone... Puppies and kitties, what a pain!
