Arrival Story:
After spending the first 9 months of her life in Louisiana, Annie went to the Humane Society in Mississippi. Her mother happened to be visiting from Indiana, and when she first saw Annie, Annie had just been spayed and was still asleep. Annie went home to Indiana with her new mom.

Bio:
Annie lived a full and exciting life. She had one human mom for 12 of her almost 13 years and knew several dog and cat siblings throughout her life. She lived in Louisiana and Mississippi in her puppyhood, spent most of her adult years in Indiana, and retired to Florida when she was 11. Annie also traveled extensively, enjoyed swimming and spending time outdoors, and was an avid volunteer, participating in therapy and even serving as a blood donor. Most of all, Annie was a people dog who loved spending time with her family and meeting new friends. Annie's health began to fail in 2006, and although we tried everything we could, we were unable to help her stay comfortable and maintain a good quality of life. On September 1, we made the difficult decision to let her go. She would have been 13 in December. Annie is greatly missed and will be remembered fondly by her family and many friends.
