Arrival Story:
I have only had Milo for 1 day as of July 7, 2006. So I don't know very much about his personality yet.
My wonderful little Shih Tzu boy passed away on July 3, 2006.
I knew I needed to get another dog right away. Not just any dog, but another Shih Tzu. I am a strong supporter of adopting slightly used dogs from shelters. In fact, all of my dogs have come from shelters.
I started looking right away. On Petfinder.com and my local shelters web sites. I found a Shih Tzu in foster care 80 miles away and arranged to drive there to meet him. However, they wanted $300.00 for him, and since I just went into debt trying to save KC, that price was out of the question.
Later that day I found a Shih Tzu at the local shelter. I went there to see him and it was love at first sight. I asked about his history and they told me he has been brought there by the son of the owner. She had passed away and he wanted the dog euthanized. The vet at the shelter thankfully, talked him out of it and he was put for adoption. He had only been at the shelter for 2 days. But low and behold, he is not a Shih Tzu at all, he is a Lhasa Apso. No matter, he is still a great dog.
So far, he has fit right in, but I think he is a little confused about the situation.
August 1, 2006, I have had Milo for one month now. He has turned out to be a wonderful, sweet little dog. He is a people dog. When we go for walks, he stops people just to say hi. Everyone he meets, loves him. I took him to the groomer the first time 2 weeks ago. When I went to pick him up, the groomer came out to tell me how much they loved him.
I think I hit the jackpot!!
Bio:
Today July 7, 2007 is the anniversery of my arrival at my forever home. It has been a wonderful year. I love my home and Mom and my sister Jenny love me.
I have turned out to be quite a character and a little quirky.

It is very hot here in San Diego, CA. It is 85 degrees at our house and we live less than a mile from the ocean. Inland, where my gramma lives, it is 97. It is rarely that hot here.
Even though it is a tad warm, I got a chill and mom left a blanket on the futon. So I wrapped my whole body in it. Only my head stuck out
I don't know why momma thought it was so funny that she had to take a picture of it. I was comfortable.

Thank you to all of my friends for sending me happy birthday wishes. Mom let me have some ice cream today. I don't get that very often so it was special.
I even got new friends today.
I'm a happy pup today!
