Super pet expo and pug v-day

The puggie valentines day meetup is not until next sunday but its good because I got to go to the pet expo today. I got treats and a pink shirt and a lot of pets. Several people called me an old lady, phooey, my grey hair makes me distinguished.

Merry Christmas

Santy paws brought me a new sweater, a squeeky snowman, and some fancy dog biscuits. I like the biscuits best, yummy!

Im fine

The results from my biopsy came back and my lump was just an icky infected polyp. The vet did tell mom that sometimes they come back so she has too keep an eye on me. I feel fine though and Ive been getting antiobiotic pills in peanut butter, yummy!

Surgery-update

I got through my surgery just fine. The vet said I was easy to intubate and woke up quickly. They cleaned my teeth and extracted one, so its good that I got that done. Mom brushes my teeth everyday but us puggies have lots of teeth in a tiny mouth.

So far the vet thinks the lump is nothing too bad so my guarded prognosis is good, but we wont know for sure for 3-5 business days when the biopsy results come back.

I feel fine though I was running around like nuts when mom and dad came to pick me up. I even was feeling good enough to go to the pet expo at the meadowlands the next day. The one down side is I dont like wearing my "cone of shame" as Dug called the e-collar in Up

Mom says I have to get surgery today. I have a lump on my butt that needs to be removed, so embarassing. She promised me I would be fine. I had to skip breakfast though, which means i get an extra big lunch.

Birthday number 7

Today is my 7th birthday, or near it since my birthday Mom is a little sad that Im now officially a senior, but I certainly dont act like one Im still an active pug and I love long walks. Today I went with mom and dad to the fancy section of jersey city, Pavonia Newport. I walked around by the water and posed for pictures in one of my new birthday dresses Then we went to the doggie boutique and I got a t-shirt that says jersey girl, and a squeeky birthday cake. I went to brunch with mom and dad too and got to have some knibbles of their food and sit at the side walk cafe. When we got home mom gave me my birthday cake, the same recipe as tubby's cake but with pink frosting I liked my birthday cake, but not the princess hat I worse for pictures, it was kind of heavy!

My best dress yet

Mom thinks my current St Patricks day dress is my best dress yet. I do look very good in it, though I like my brother Tubby broke the hat. I dont mind wearing dresses at all though, unlike my sister Zira who does not like dressies or shirts. Im not crazy about stuff on my head though, but I will tolerate it for awhile. Mom is a bit crazy about dressing me up and as long as the treats flow and the couch cushiosn are available thats fine with me. Aparently I have three new dresses and one new hat coming from mia pias closet. Mom is very excited to try them on me, they will be for my birthday whcih is in May.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all dogster doggies. I hope you all had as fabulous a day as me. I wore my new christmas dress all day, and I really do like clothes. I sit very still to have them put on and i never try to take them off, I think its a pug thing because my brother Tubby is the same way. I got an eiffel tower toy and a squeeky pugs passport for christmas in addition to my new dress. I played with them a little but Ive never been really crazy about toys, I prefer food. So I really enjoyed all the treats we had and the turkey meatloaf we ate for dinner.

Happy Howl-O-Ween

I dressed up as a flower today for Halloween. I went to a pug party last week so mom and dad didnt take me and Tubby and Bingo to the pet parade today, they where afraid 6 dogs would be too much for the pet parade and Bingo cant walk anymore. We had a party here thought with our friend Nacho and we all had delicious doggie pumpkin brownies, mom topped them with Old Mother Hubbard bones that she used to spell out Boo! Here is the recipe. Mom got it from the clumber spaniel yahoo group she joined to learn more about clumbers, since she wants to get one some day

Pumpkin Brownies

2 large eggs
1 cup canned pure pumpkin
1/3 cup canola oil
2 Tbsp. honey
1 - 1/4 cups whole wheat flour or oat flour
2 Tbsp. ground flax seed or oat bran
1 Tsp. cinnamon
1 Tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, pumpkin, canola oil and honey. Add the flour, flax seed, cinnamon, baking soda and salt and stir until combined. Scrape batter into an 8 x 8 inch pan that has been sprayed with nonstick spray and bake for 30 minues. Cool before cutting into squares. Enjoy!

Princeton Pug Crawl

You might notice lots of books on my page, thats because I am now an ivy league student since my visit to Princeton for a dog tour of the campus with my pug meetup group. I was very obedient on the trip and behaved excently, so I am definitely ivy league material in doggie obedience. I especially liked the princeton lawns since I love to romp on grass and the nice the grass the better, and seeing the squirrels!
