Happy Howl-O-Ween

I dressed up as a flower today for Halloween. I went to a pug party last week so mom and dad didnt take me and Tubby and Bingo to the pet parade today, they where afraid 6 dogs would be too much for the pet parade and Bingo cant walk anymore. We had a party here thought with our friend Nacho and we all had delicious doggie pumpkin brownies, mom topped them with Old Mother Hubbard bones that she used to spell out Boo! Here is the recipe. Mom got it from the clumber spaniel yahoo group she joined to learn more about clumbers, since she wants to get one some day

Pumpkin Brownies

2 large eggs
1 cup canned pure pumpkin
1/3 cup canola oil
2 Tbsp. honey
1 - 1/4 cups whole wheat flour or oat flour
2 Tbsp. ground flax seed or oat bran
1 Tsp. cinnamon
1 Tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, pumpkin, canola oil and honey. Add the flour, flax seed, cinnamon, baking soda and salt and stir until combined. Scrape batter into an 8 x 8 inch pan that has been sprayed with nonstick spray and bake for 30 minues. Cool before cutting into squares. Enjoy!

Princeton Pug Crawl

You might notice lots of books on my page, thats because I am now an ivy league student since my visit to Princeton for a dog tour of the campus with my pug meetup group. I was very obedient on the trip and behaved excently, so I am definitely ivy league material in doggie obedience. I especially liked the princeton lawns since I love to romp on grass and the nice the grass the better, and seeing the squirrels!

Pugstock Fashions

Today was pugstock, woo hoo, it was fun. I got to eat treats and run around on grass and play with other puggies. Mom loves 60s fashions, she would for sure have been a hippie, so she oredered me and my brothers special 60s outfits. Mom wore her tye died dress from anthroplogie too, and we were a very 60s family, except for Dad who doesnt have any tie died clothing and doesnt believe in special shopping for dog events. Lots of other pugs had great outfits too and mom took their pictures. She got some ideas for waht I could wear next year if the group has pug stock again.

I wonder what my outfit will be next year hopefully it wont be to elaborate. Though mom did over hear one lady saying that a pet psychic told her that her pug really did love to dress up and he was mad about not having enough outfits. Either us pugs know how cute we look in outfits, after all the voluptuous pug figure is meant to be cutely clothed but also to look great starkers, or the pet psychic lady knows just what kind of owners she is dealing with and/or is in the pay of the pug couturiers. All three options seem likely.

Now I am 6!

Today is my guestimated 6th birthday. I got a pink cookie that said princess on it that I enjoyed very much. I also got a little stuffed pink short cake toy that I have not paid much attention too but that my brothers seem to like, Ive never really been into toys.

Mom also picked up a big order of raw food from us from the store wholistic paws so I get to have green tripe and ground sardines for dinner yum!

My easter getup

Mom loves buying me clothes and dressing me up. Pugs always look great in clothes! Mom shopes at mia pia's closet.com and thinks thats a wonderful place to get me clothes. The owner of the store is so nice and really helps mom out. Mom was especially excited about the hat since she loves easter hats beause of the movie easter parade and the song sung by fred astaire and judy garland.


There were some minor problems though: see mom did something pretty silly there was a mistake in her paypal account that she thought she had fixed but hadnt, the clothes got lost because they were sent to the wrong address. Mom was pretty sad, but the owner of mia pia was so nice, even after mom's silly mistake, that she rush made us new clothes and we look fantastic!

Mom has a week and a half off from work starting thursday and we get to spend lots of time wiht her.

Santy Paws

I got my picture taking with Tubby on Santy Paws lap at the pug holiday meetup. I wasnt so keen on sitting on a strangers lap, but playing with the otehr pugs is fun. Any puggies that live in NJ should think about joing the northern new jersey pug group at meetup.com, its a really great group with great monthly meetups.

Howl-O-Ween Is Almost Here!

Well Howl-O-Ween is almost here and I have been busy. Mom got me a Native American inspired dress for my costume this year. I really like that it doesnt have a hat since Im not crazy about things on my head. Yesterday, mom and dad and me and Zira and Tubby went to buy a pumpkin at Demarest Farms, it was really crowded. Then today I went on a two hour hike at the Watchtun reservation with Norbert and Bob. Who says pugs are lazy! Of course Tubby would never have made it on the hike so he stayed home on the couch.

Look how tiny!

Mom scanned this old picture of me from the day I came home. Look how tiny I was! Mom also was not the educated dog owner she is today, Norbert has on a prong collar (shudder). Dad was way more permisive, Im on the bed, my first day home! Now he has to be SURE the new dog is trained. I guess I melted him with my cuteness, or my habit of peeing on his feet in the morning when I was a baby may have made him think twice about puppies in the bed. Of course my place in the bed is secure.

My poor Feargus

Please everybody pray for my poor sweetie Feargus, he had an accident and is having a hard time. He hurt his neck. His mommy is very sad. Feargus should get better but we all need to hope and pray that it will happen very soon. Feargus is the bestest pup on dogster.

News for me! Guess what I won the spoiled pugs So You Think You're Couture contest and I get a dress named after me from critterbling. Im super excited. I cant wait until Feargus gets better and he can see me in the dressie.

Birthday Bash!

I celebrated my 5th birthday this weekend. Woo hoo! Mommy got me two new dressies from Mia Pia's closet and my brother Tubby got a matching vest. I also got a toy called The Vet that you get to shake around and it rattles and squeaks. Mommy and Daddy bought it after Bob's training class. They buy a toy or a bone every week and the lady at the counter commented on how much stuff mom and dad buy and how spoiled Bob is. Mommy told her that she has four doggie babies and that they are all spoiled. The lady looked a little shocked.
Mommy also made me special soy ice cream cones for my birthday. I got a number 5 candle on top of mine. All my siblings had some too. Mommy thinks soy ice cream is gross but we all thought it was yummy.

Ping the athlete

Humans do some pretty silly stuff sometimes and when I first saw all the humans dragging their puggers through tunnels and over ramps at pug agilty day I thuoght it was the silliest thing yet. Then I found out you got liver treats for going thorugh those tunnels and over those ramps. I thought if the humans want to see me go through a tunnel, fine by me. I did have a hard time understanding why I couldnt just go around the tunnel and run to daddy and get the liver that way, but aparently I had to go through the tunnel. It was scary the first time, but then it got easier. I was really brave on the ramp, not like my wimpy brother Tubs. I went right up and right down. The last time I even ran! Mommy says we should try this again and I agree since I love liver treats.

Oh no a wart!

You might have noticed there are less close ups of me on my page these days. Thats because I have a giant wart on my face. I'm still adorable of course, but it is pretty ugly. I think the vet's name for the wart is a papilloma. Anyway, the vet said to leave it alone since anesthesia is bad for us branchiocephalic breeds. The only problem is instead of going away the wart is getting bigger and bigger like a giant piece of cauliflower permanently stuck to my lip. I may have to get my teeth cleaned in a few months despite mommy's dilligent daily brushing which I definitely don't enjoy. If the wart is still their then mommy's going to tell the vet to snip it off while I'm under anesthesia, but hopefully it will be gone by then.

Poodle Skirt

Mommy cut me a new pink poodle skirt dress just for being me. She got it from this neat ebay store doxie duds. I like it ok since its not too tight and the only time I mind clothes is when they are tight. It also came with little bobby sox for my front paws but I didnt like those too much and I pulled one off and lost it. Anyway mommy decided to put some c0ol fifties music on my page to go with my new poodle skirt pics.

Christmas!

Christmas was so much fun! Christmas Eve we all went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. I got dressed up in my Christmas dress and all the other dogs got dressed up too. My cousin GiGi had a Christmas Scarf and my cousin Ruby had a Santa suit. We got a ginger bread squeeky man as a present and a Mouse Tug toy. Christmas Day mommy and daddy gave me my wrapped present, they had to help with the paper. I got a teddy bear! I also got some shared presents with my brothers and sisters like pig ears, chicken jerky sticks, and some squeeky toys.

We have a tree in our house!

On Saturday Mommy and Daddy took me, just me, for some only dog time. We went to an outdoor market and mommy and daddy picked out a tree. When we got home me and my brothers smelled the tree and checked it out. It was very different from the little silver tree we used to have in our apartment at christmas time. That night mommy decorated the tree with pretty yummy looking glass balls, but she wont let us chew them. When we get to near the tree she shakes the coffee can with pennies in it! So we know not to go to near that tree.

Fashion Queen

As you can see I'm modeling a lovely new halloween costume. Im a fairy princess, and I must say that I look good. Those wings are a little annoying though. At first I tried to bite them off, but then I resigned myself to it. You have to suffer to be beautiful.
I also wore a fashionable pug snuggly to the dog run today. I dont really do much at the dog run, and I certainly dont play with the other dogs. My brother's look so silly galavanting around and smelling strange dogs butts and rolling in the wood chips. Ugh! I like to sit on mommy's lap and watch the other dogs. Daddy says I spend the whole time wondering why I'm not on the nice soft couch at home. Mommy thinks I like going to the park though, at least I can show of my fabulous wardrobe.
I'll really have to find something nice to wear on 11/17 because I'm going with mommy and daddy to a fundraiser pug meetup for PDE research. I got selected to go because we are taking the path train into NYC and my brother Tubby is too fat to go in a dog carrier, hee hee. I'll get all mommy and daddy's attention and I cant wait, I'll have to be careful not to let mommy overdress me though I don't want to look like Im trying to hard!

Itty Bitty Ping

Mommy finally put up my baby photo. Boy was I tiny! You can see Im crawling on daddy, I was a daddy's girl from day 1. I was very young when mommy and daddy got me a little less then 8 weeks old. I was the tiniest pug mommy and daddy had ever seen. I was pretty brave though and I wasnt afraid of my big brothers Tubby, Norbert and Scooter or my big sister Baby. I went right up to all of them. Even the long flight from my breeder's house in Montanna didnt phase me. I got out of my crate at the airport and sat right down on momma's lap and looked at the bone and the puppy toys she had brought me. Even on that firsdy day I expected lots of presents, after all Im a princess. Today every time mommy and daddy come home with bags I check to see if there is something for me in them and guess waht there usually is!

Dogster Plus

Oh Im so excited I get to be Princess Ping on dogster plus! Im a very lady like doggie and mommy buys me lots of nice clothes so I should be able to post some lovely pictures of myself. Checkout my photos of mommy holding me, Im wearing my new red dress. You can tell I dress better then my mommy, she's only wearing old jeans. I also have a lovely red necklace that I got from the pug snuggly online store, its called the Charmed Life necklace and the proceeds go to help rescue pugs in need. Im not a rescue pug but I still came from a not great situation. Daddy got me as a graduation present for mommy. He wanted to get mommy a black girl pug and he found me online. I was shipped all the way from Montanna. Daddy didnt really know about puppy mills and so he didnt ask all the right questions. When I got to mommy and daddy I had mange and I was much younger then the breeder said I was. Mommy and daddy took me to a good vet and made me all better. They would never buy from a puppymill again but they are really glad they got me, and so am I!
Oh, I almost forgot about my song. Since Im the family princess and kind of diva Mommy thought a song by Judy Garland the greatest diva of all would be perfect for me!

Princess Ping

As you can see there are some lovely vacation photos of me on my web page. Since I have such a beautiful black silky coat it can be hard to see my precious face in pictures, but I assure you its adorable. I went swimming at my aunt Sara's house which I wasnt that crazy about but I did look cute, mommy said I looked like a little otter. I did like sitting on the floatie and going around the pool. I also wore my tikki dress because a girl has to dress for the pool!
