I went to the super pet expo with mom, dad, tubby, and ping today. It was very busy and I had a good time but was a little overwhelmed. Mom gave some money to great dane rescue and the ladies said I looked a little like a great dane. I got some special grain free treats and some jerky treats and I meat a mastiff puppy and a lot of other dogs. It was fun.

Happy Fall

I got a new tie for halloween, from fashionable fur babies. There designs support pug rescue which is good since I LOVE pugs. Since Im not so crazy about costumes the tie is fine with me. Its also hard to fit me into costumes. Last year, I wasnt really crazy about wearing my hair piece, even though it one me best costume prize. People thought I was supposed to be Donald Trump, mom never thought of that she was just dressing me as an office worker.

On a side note, mom really likes the picture of me and dad on the bench since its kind of like a picture of us on a bench in central park when we were younger. Dad had more hair and i had a browner eye patch, its going grey. It reminded mom of the move Wallace and Grommit: Curse of the Wererabbit. In the beginning of the movie it shows a long line of pictures of Wallace and Grommit from Grommit's puppyhood when Wallace had hair to their middle age.

Mom and Dad took me and Bob to the beach this weekend. After labor day dogs are aloud on Sandy Hook beach until memorial day weekend. Unfortunately when we got there the beach was very crowded and the tide was in, but I had a pretty good time anyway. I posed for a very nice picture in the sand. Mom showed her coworker who is a very good photographer and she said it was better then a professional portrait.

Birthday Number 8

I am 8 years old now! The exact date of my birth is not known but its estimated to be in the beginning of July. I had a very nice birthday weekend. Mom and Dad took me to Hoboken and were going to buy me a hot dog at the park, but horrors the hot dog stand was not open! They made up for it by cooking me a hot dog at home and they did take me too Beowoof pets in hoboken to get a few present (a frisbee ball, a stuffed owl, and some liver treats) Mom made me a nice fourth of july flag cake like she did last year and unfortunately I had to wear a silly birthday head band for some pictures. Then the next day mom and dad took just me for a long four mile hike in the Watchtung Reservation, I got a lot of one on one attention and I love it!

ACS Bark for Life Walk

Today I visited my old stomping grounds in Manhattan. Mom and Dad took me to the ACS Bark for Life cancer walk. The event raises money for human and animal cancers. There is a short walk in riverside park and then tables with doggie stuff at them and music and things. Bob was supposed to go too but mom and dad thought it would be too hot for him, so I got to pretend I was an only doggie and I had fun getting all the attention. There were lots of dogs there and mom particularly liked a very nice bernerse mountain dog. There was agility equipment set up but I didnt watn to go anywhere near it. They had a ton of water bowls set up and I was so overwhelmed with all the bowls I didnt know quite what to do and licked a little from each one.

After the walk we went to the gourment food truck fair in hells kitchen. It was supposed to be cloudy but after we got there the sun came out and got pretty hot. Mom had already invested about 40 minutes waitin gin line for an ice cream from the gourmet soft serve ice cream truck, the big gay ice cream truck, that sells soft serve with fancy toppings. So I sat down with dad by the dumpling truck and drank my water. I got a lot of attention because it was very crowded. Several people said how well behaved and calm I was. Im used to crowds since I have always lived in a city. Mom rewarded me for my patient waiting with a big vanilla ice cream that I ate in one gulp, she and dad had weirder cones dads had curry and coconut on it and mom's had chocolate and sea salt, Id rather have my plain vanilla any day.

Mom loves this new picture of me, licking my chops after tasty guiness! Adorable, and its not always easy to get a good picture of me. Mom made a very yummy human food that I snuck a tast of, even though Im sure that its not really aproved for dogs, but one wont kill you. After all I eat the best dog food with fresh vegetables most days and my vet always says Im in great shape, so why not live a little. The yummy human treat was somthing called Scotch Eggs, they are ahrdboiled eggs coated in sausage and deep fried. What couldnt be delicious about fried sausage! Mom says they need to be eaten with Coleman's mustard and HPs sauce but I liked my plain, I wolfed it down in one bite.

Xmas 09

This has been a nice holliday season for me. I had snow my favorite, and xmas was fun too even though its warmed up and the snow is melting. On Xmas eve I went to my grandpa's house, it was a little sad because my grandmother who was dad's mom and a great pet grand parent (she always wanted us to come over and gave us gifts) recently passed away.) She had wrapped gifts up for us pups before she died which was sad, she got us all lots of treats. On xmas day I got a forever snow ball which mom and dad bought me at the NJ Pet expo I reall ylike it, it smells like mint and I chewed it all night. I also got a talking reindeer that says "your santa's favorite!" We have a guest staying with us for xmas vacation, Ollie he is a Havanese that belongs to mom's co-workers, he likes my reindeer toy and I was a good boy and let him play with it. Sometimes Im not too crazy about guests but I really like Ollie.
