Arrival Story:
We got April from a breeder when she was a puppy. We decided to name her April because we brought her home on April Fool's Day.

Bio:
April started out like most Lab puppies--hyper! But she has turned into a wonderful dog--calm and gentle. She is an excellent hunting companion and family pet. At the time we brought April home, we had a Black Lab. The two were best buddies. He died when he was only six years old and April was upset for months. She had never been alone before. She would find ways to escape from her outdoor kennel and go looking for her friend. UPDATE: April passed away in April 2008. She is greatly missed. :(
