I need to get to rules of life straight for my Basset Hound brother Max.

1. I rule around this place because I am bigger.
2. I can have all the toys because I am bigger.
3. I can chew on whatever I want because I am bigger.
4. I eat whenever I want because I am bigger.
5. I own the couch because I am bigger.
6. I can burp and do stinkers whenver I want because I am bigger.
7. I am Daddy's favorite because I am bigger.
8. I have Mommy wrapped around my paw because I am bigger.
9. I have the put on my cutest face act down packed because I am bigger.


Now Max please memorize and follow these rules or I WILL SIT on you because I am bigger.

Snow

This morning mommy took me out to do potties and there was all this white stuff all over the ground. I can't believe mommy thought I should step on that stuff. In mommies sweetest voice she kept saying "come on Daisy it's only snow." Snow smow I am not putting my precious paws on the cold stuff. My mommy always forgets I am a girl and we don't do anything that we don't want to. She thinks just because I am a big puppy that I will do anything. WRONG! I stood on the sidewalk for a minute and thought about how cold it is and I decided that maybe I should just get it over with and just do potties because if I don't she will keep me out here for an hour. Not thinking that, the couch is calling my name. It wasn't really that bad after I stepped on it.

It has been really cold here for the last couple of days. I would really love to go on those long walks mommy takes me on but she says it's too cold to go. I hope it warms up soon because I love to run and sniff everything and my yard is getting boring, all the same smells, nothing good. Well there is one thing I love about my yard all the squirrels. One of these days I will catch one of those little suckers, they are really quick. I will keep practicing the run and catch plan on Max and maybe I will get really good. Watch out squirrels, here I come. Got to run and play with Max. Woof!

weigh me again

Mommy and Daddy are so silly. Daddy picks me up and goes running down the hall and jumps on this little square. Mommy just stands there looking down. Daddy puts me down and him and Mommy keep looking down while Daddy is still standing in the little square. They both start getting big smiles on their faces and they were saying she weighs 72 lbs. They seemed so happy what do they expect I am a growing girl. I know Mommy worries about me but I think the worry is gone. Gotta run and play. wuff wuff
