Best Tricks:
Tex loved studying things to figure out how it works or how to do it. One day were getting ready to leave our driveway to go out on our boat & we couldn't find Tex. Somehow he figured out how to jump up on the tire or trailer & jumped in the boat!!!

Arrival Story:
My beloved Grandmother had passed away & I told her in prayers at night to send me a dachshund. Everyday we would look in the paper for one & finally 2 weeks later (so Nanny was a little slow!) he was in the paper.

Bio:
My first born had to be put to sleep on January 18, 2004. He developed a brain tumor and started having nuerological problems & seizures. We say it was because he over exhausted his brain doing all that thinking. God we miss him. As he got older he became so gray. When we would take him for walks with younger Meadow, we would say come on old man. People would stop us & ask us is his name really "Old Man" or is that just a weird color cause he doesn't look old!! He was built with great muscles that just gleamed when he walked & he was always dragging us!! It's just a shame cause his heart, liver & kidneys were in great condition but you can't do anyhing about a brain tumor.

How my name changed!:
After we had Tex for about a year, we started playing a game called "Super Mario" and Mario road on the back of this cutest thing that we think was a dinosaur and his name was Yoshi". We thought that Yoshi looked exactly like Tex!!! So his name was basically changed to Yoshi!!!!

One of the funniest things Tex would do.:
When i would get the stuff out of the dryer, he would jump in the basket! Then he would bury himself in the middle! One time he actually jumped in the dryer as the one picture shows-no kidding-it was NOT staged!!!!!

Tex, you were one of the most stubbornest dogs in the world, but my how we loved you. We can still remember the day we picked you up, you were hiding behind their couch. You gave us sooo much joy in your 14 short years. I miss coming home & having you DEMAND to play, even when you were 14 years old. You had the most spunk I've ever seen. We also remember bringing your brother, Houston home for the 1st time. You wouldn't look at him or us for 3 days. But on the 4th day all heck broke loose and you were best buds since that day. I want to thank you for being so good when we had to put Houston to sleep and 3 days later, Daddy brought home Meadow. She was the little 8 week old terror from heck, but you took her into your heart. She truly missed you & was lost when you left her. So we had to get her a sister, Bailey. Meadow is just like you & Bailey is just like Houston. We miss you & Houston so much that it still hurts when we see a doxie who looks like one of you two. Whenever we hear the song by Rod Stewart, Forever Young, we think of you & shed a few tears still. Thanks for all the fun times and filling our lives with pleasure. Love you, Mom & Dad
