Arrival Story:
My husband and I decided before our older dog passed that we would like to get a puppy to help bring a little more life into the household and get Kali moving. I searched a long time to find a reputable breeder of Great Danes and preferably mantle marked. Finally I found a breeder and she had the most adorable puppies just born, but there was one that pulled the heart the most. It was the runt of the litter, even though he was born number 2. He was half the weight of the rest of the puppies, but had such a will to live. With the help of the breeder Brett survived the most critical early days and then just took off in drive to live. The breeder was still very apprensive about agreeing to let us have this puppy, she was not sure if there were any affects or how healthy he was actually going to be. Well fast forward and continues updates and vet checks Brett finally was able to come home when he was 12 weeks. He is doing wonderful and his a great addition. He is still smaller then the average great dane, but in attitude he is larger then life.

My Tail of Devotion for Brett

We are very lucky for all the pets that we have, and love them all dearly as they are our children. What I can not believe is how a tiny little puppy came into our lives and changed it so much for the better. My husband Mark and I decided our next dog would be a Great Dane. Everything about them seemed to fit our family. So the search began, it took us far and wide and finally we found this wonderful puppy that just seemed to pull on our heart strings. The sad part was Brett was born half the size of his litter mates, even though he was born second. The breeder was very concerned about him and was unsure he would even make it with all the additional help he was getting. She wanted us to make sure this was the puppy for our family and I assured over and over, yes was the puppy for what ever reason I feel is to be the newest member of our household.

Many a tence week went by to see if Brett would come through and be normal with no immediate health problems. Finally word came through that Brett could come home. I made all the arrangments and left early in the morning to drive and pick up our new puppy. He was better then I imagined and more then I ever expected.

He has brought so much joy to our family along with confidence to our rescue Dane that I thought would take months to accomplish. He is the star in our house and I hope we are blessed with him for many years to come.
