Arrival Story:
Since I work in a hospital, which means I'm gone anywhere between 11 and 13 hours for 3-4 days a week, I decided that my Shih Tzu, Kizzy, needed a canine companion. I kept watching Petfinder until I saw a shih tzu for adoption at a local shelter. When I went there I discovered that he had been adopted. The people offered me another dog, but I told them that I really wanted a shih tzu. (Sorry but I fell in love with this breed) They then told me that they had a 5 month old shih tzu/bichon that was brought in by his owners because he was "too hyper" that just became available for adoption. What I found was a typical 5 mo old puppy. Needless to say, the rest is hisotry. He got his name, Chance, because just by chance the other dog had been adopted and just by chance he was available...we were the first family to adopt him.

Bio:
Chance has a "canine brother" Kizzy and 3 "feline sibs" Jack, Ash and Willow. He hasn't been with us that long so he's still unsure about all of this, but is adjusting nicely.
