 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: October 16th 2002
Likes: Playing Tug, Fetching, Knowing her family is home safe and sound

Pet-Peeves: Someone leaving the house, the vacuum monster, cars driving down the street, skateboards and bicycles, the Texas Heat (Deal with it, dog!)

Favorite Toy: Anything plush with a squeaker in it

Favorite Food: Dodie has Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She only gets Science Diet ZD ULtra, and seems perfectly happy with it, even as a treat

Favorite Walk: The neighborhood

Best Tricks: Spinning in a frantic circle (Spin Puppy), jumping through a hula hoop

Arrival Story: Dodie was purchased from what should have been a reputable breeder in our area, who, on retrospect, turned out to have been more of a "backyard breeder" type. This breeder did almost everything wrong, and we ended up with a skittish, head shy, poorly socialized, but lovable bi-black sheltie with digestive trouble almost from the beginning. We worked with her constantly, and with the the help of a good trainer, and an excellent vet, we have a loving family member we couldn't do without!

Bio: Her registered name is Adorable Diva, and boy is she! She sings like a coyote when she wants to come in from outside! When Dodie was 8 months old, we added Faye, the corgi to our family. Dodie, who was alpha to every dog she met, happily gave up that status to Faye, who browbeats her unmercifully, most of the time. Every now and then, Faye goes too far, and Dodie tells her, in doggie terms, "Nuh-uh, I don't think so, girlfriend".
Dodie, tends to let people think she is stupid. She plays the, "I don't get it" game, but if you watch her very carefully, you can tell she is using her sheltie wiles to get her own way. You have to play tough with her, then she gives in, does what you ask and then some!

I haven't been very active lately, have I?
I have been quite busy. Helped my family move into a new house last winter, and took care of Daddy after he had a mild stroke and brain surgery from which he is recovering very nicely!
Mommy has been learning to blog on a human type (that means "hard to use" blog), and has been hogging the computer for knitting related stuff. Boring.
She got a new camera, so Faye and I have spent a lot of time running away from that.
More soon. I promise.

Mommy just put me on a postage stamp! I can't believe it. It was easy. She just clicked on my picture, and Dogster and Zazzle did the rest. She ordered 2 sheets of 20, because that gave her a discount.
Yeah, it cost a little more than it would have from the post office, but, hey, she gets to brag about what a beautiful sheltie I am on every letter she writes and bill she pays.
Thanks, Dogster and Zazzle.

Mommy has been having some medical tests done. She is going to have surgery next week to take out something called a gall bladder. I don't now what it is, but it sounds perfectly vile, and if she has one in her, I think it is a good thing they are taking it out of her.
For one of the tests they did on her yesterday, they gave her some medicine that made her go to sleep.
When she got home, she was still very sleepy, so I took good care of her, and stayed at her side all day.
I don't usually do that. I like to be out around the rest of the house, but she needed me.
I can be a good Mommy.
