Arrival Story:
I was looking for a companion for our pup Maggie who was six months old. Maggie is a Lab/Golden cross. She is mostly a Lab and was full of energy and loved to play. She was wearing me out. She loved other dogs, so Betty and I decided to find her a life buddy. I went to Petfinder's and that site took me to Pound Rescue of Athens site where I saw a picture of Joely, she was featured and up for adoption. I fell in love with her at first site! What a great dog! She had been dumped in Athens County. Pound rescue found her at the pound, half starved, full of parrasites, conjunctivitis in both eyes, heart worms, ear infections. She was truely close to deaths door. Even in this state she was so loving and friendly. All those who worked to save her at Pound Rescue of Athens had fallen in love with her by the time she was healed up. The good people who had nursed her to health and fostered her brought her up to meet Maggie. Joely was about 11 months old, Maggie was 6 month. They hit it off right away and Joely had found her forever home, and we had found a once in a life time dog!

Bio:
Near as the Vets and the rest of us can tell Joely is a Golden Retriever/ Labrador Retriever cross. She looks like a Golden and has a laid back personality. She will be 4 years old July 20th, the date we picked for her birthday.
