Well, yesterday was my 8th birthday! Why it seems like only yesterday that I was a little tike running around the beach chasing birds!
Oh well...getting older is not the worst thing in the world. I am still the king of my castle and my family loves me a bunch!!! For my birthday we all had grilled cheeseburgers and watermelon! Best of all...DADDY was home to share my day!!! He wanted to take me to the forest to run sooo bad but, since I hurt my leg last time I have to wait for it to heal. Truth be told...it's bugging Daddy worse than me...hee, hee! Life is good!!!

1. I am a total Momma's boy....unless Daddy's home :)
2. I am the guardian of all the other dogs. I make sure they don't play too rough.
3. I sit still for hours watching for squirrels!
4. When I get my nails cut I sound like they are pulling them out of my feet!!!!!
5. My Daddy thinks I am the most perfect dog in the whole world!!!
6. I LOVE to go for walks..runs through the woods!!!

Murphy...from the moment we met on my first date with your Daddy...I knew you were a special boy! The thing that brought your Daddy & I together in the first place was our mutual love for dogs. I knew right away how much your Daddy loved you and he just thought you were the most amazing animal in the world. You would get so sad & upset when your Daddy had to go out of town for work that you would go a little crazy and tear things up. Your Daddy would get soo upset every time he left you with other people and he would worry about you the whole time he was away. Finally one day I asked if you could stay with me and Frank & Amos while your Daddy went to work and he said yes (he was relieved). You were such a good boy and you were so much more relaxed and you have never torn up one thing since then! And...we have not been apart since! You are such a smart and sweet, loving boy! You look out for the other dogs and run inside to let me know if they are into something! You keep everyone in line by, making sure no one gets too rough and stepping in if they do. I love you and your Daddy so much and I can't imagine my life without you two in it!!
Mommy loves you sweet Daddy's boy!!!

Today I had to go to see Dr. Grossman and it was not pretty! It was just "routine" or so mommy said for my annual check up. I got sooo scared that I wouldn't go in the office ...then I whined and whined and tried to hide behind Mommy. Dr. Grossman had to get down on the floor to do my check up while I tried to get in Mommy's lap. I'm so embarrassed! I don't know why I get so scared...the worst thing that ever happens is I get my nails cut which is bad but not life threatening!
Well, afterwards we went to Wendy's and got cheeseburgers...yummy and then I forgot where we had been before that! Until next time!

Well, when my Daddy was home (he's a truck driver) I got to go with him and Mommy all by myself to St. Augustine! Usually since there are four of us furry kids we don't take many trips in the car but, I missed my Daddy soooo much that Mommy said I should go with them to have some ME time! Daddy had to go to the DMV...whatever...so me and Mommy went to Wendy's and I got a hamburger and fries and then when we went and got Daddy we went to a the dog park and played and ran around with some other funny dogs. Mommy said I looked like I was smiling all day just being with my Daddy....guess what....I was!!!!!

Well, my birthday was on July 4th! The only thing was...my Daddy wasn't home because he was working! He called and talked on the speaker phone though. That's funny! I always try to figure out where he is in there because I can hear him talking to me but, I can't see him! We live such a "dog's life" that it's like every day is a party! We have a really big yard and a doggie door so we go in and out about a hundred times a day! Sometimes when I know there is a squirrel in the tree right out front I poke my head out the doggie door and try to be really quiet and sneak up on it.
Well, off to dream of ...you guessed it squirrels!
