Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:

April 11th 1998

FOOD, FOOD, FOOD, and more FOOD!!! Belly rubs, sleeping, and sunbathing are fun too, when she's not busy eating/begging for someone else's food/stealing someone's food!

Baths, toenail clipping sessions, ear cleaning sessions, rainy days (water is EVIL)

Favorite Toy:
Mommy and Daddy :) I like to chew on their arms and make sounds like I'm killing them....but all in a playful way, I swear! If I really killed them, who would feed me?!

Favorite Food:
Pretty much ANYTHING! I don't care what it is..just hand it over...NOW! You can keep your lettuce to yourself though....blech!

Favorite Walk:
To her food dish.......or anywhere else that smells good

Best Tricks:
The ability to stretch my body to twice its normal length in order to steal food from the counters. The ability to detect the exact second that my humans aren't paying close attention to their food, so I can quietly make it disappear in my tummy.

Arrival Story:
My momslave has been in love with bassets her entire life, but was never allowed to have a dog when she was growing up...boohooo. So, when she finished college and landed a decent job one of her first goals was to get that basset she always wanted. Was looking in the newspaper classifieds one day just out of curiosity to see if there were any basset hounds advertised and sure enough, there were. (No worries, she now knows that's not the way to go about it!) Anyhow, she called the breeder to ask if she could come to see the puppies and it turned out there was only one left -- the one they originally wanted to keep. So she grabbed the dadslave and dragged him to Fort Erie, Ontario just to SEE me, and that was it!! It was love at first sight.

Woof, I'm an 11-year-old basset hound princess, born on April 11, 1998. My slaves brought me home when I was 14 weeks old, and I've had them wrapped around my big-fat pawsies ever since. I'm a hound that gets around. Take your mind outta da gutter ;) ......I just mean that I've done a little bit of travelling. I lived in Toronto, ON for the first 6 and a half years of my life. Then, the slaves temporarily moved to New Zealand for a year and brought me with them! We lived in Wellington, and it was really different, but really fun. Well, all except the first month when I was stuck in solitary confinement (quarantine) ...... grrrrr!! Then we moved back to Toronto, I thought for good. Well, guess what?? Now we moved out to Vancouver, British Columbia! We drove all da way from Toronto to Vancouver, so I got to pee all over lots of Canada....hehe. I hope we're gonna stay here for a long thinks I've had enough of movin'!!

Forums Motto:
What's in it for ME??

What's the meaning of life?:
My mission in life is to get as many treats as possible. I am a shameless beggar, and will look up at anyone, anytime with "the look" that says.......GIMME MY TREAT!!!!!! If all else fails, I'll just resort to thievery.

It is with great sadness that I let all of Scully's Dogster pals know, my sweet houndette has made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge. She put up such a good fight with that awful cancer, but took a rapid decline yesterday. We knew it was time for us to free her from pain.

This is so hard, and I can't think clearly enough to know what to say right now. Scully was my first basset, and a dream come true. I know there will never be another hound like her.

Sweet angel Scully, I hope you know how much your mommy and daddy love you. You brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives, and we are so lucky to have been owned by you. Thank you for the best 11 and a half years of our lives. We miss you more than words can express, and will love you forever.

We got my lab results and it ain't good :(

After being in remission for 8 and a half months, my cancer has returned.

We're really bummed around here right now. At the moment, I'm not sure what course of treatment we are going to do. My humans are going to speak more with the vet tomorrow and hopefully will be able to think about it all clearly enough to make a decision about what is best for me.

Love and licks to all,

Here we go again...maybe.

Yesterday, my eyes started looking really puffy and red, so my humans took me to the vet this afternoon. To sum it up, my Momslave was particularly worried because this is what initially caused her to bring me to the vet back in October, which led to my lymphoma diagnosis.

Well, turns out that there may be a valid reason for that sick feeling in Momma's stomach. My lymph nodes are a bit enlarged, and the vet is concerned that the lymphoma may be back. We'll get the test results in a few days.

I do have a little ulcer on my eye too. Probably, from rubbing at it. I got some drops to make my eyes more comfortable.

We're trying to think positive, but it's kinda hard to ignore that gut feeling.

Will update when we find out the verdict...

Luv & Licks,
