rots your brain!!! if you've never done it and you have a dog with high chase dirve, it's worth a try. just be aware, there is no obedience on the lure coursing field. be pre paired for a dog that is out of it's head and jonesed to go!!!
kay got to do it at camp dogwood this weekend and she took the rest of the day to come down. she loves it, she screams at the line, she might just sell a paw for it! wow!! and we camped next to the field. we had no choice. i must say that by the end of the weekend, she was able to function and keep her head about her. i'm proud of her b/c that was hard.
we will return again. i won't deny her the pleasure, just regulate it. kay on the other hand would do it all day everyday... what a dog!!
This weekend Kay and I had a trail out in Spring Grove. We did very well. She Q'ed every time we went out! That concludes all of our level one titles and on to level 2. She's catching up to Bailey quite quickly. We should go back into hiding for a little to work on some collection and communication glitches. I'm so proud of her!! She was awesome! When I figure out how to handle her properly we'll be unstoppable!!!
Well, last weekend I competed in APDT Rally - O with my big sister. She got her ARCh and well, I didn't do so bad either. I got two legs towards my RL1, taking first and second. I really wanted to you just socialize and say hello to everyone, but mom wouldn't let me. It was so hard to work in the ring with the judge b/c I just wanted to go over and say hi so bad! Mom says that I have wait a while longer before I can be off leash working - something about having to stay with her.
I started agility training as well. Agility rocks!! It's so much more fun than Rally or Obedience. I'm not allowed to jump my full height yet, something about still growing. I just can't wait until I get to go to agility comps with my big brother Bailey. He rocks!! He's out there showing everyone that a mutt can be just as awesome as a border collie.
My big sister is liking me more. She actually played with me, like real play!! I had a blast! I hope she does it more. I'm still set on my goal of getting her to snuggle with me.
