Pet-Peeves: HATES it when you touch his paws, when you try to make him do something - like get out of the neighbors' yards when he's busy watching whatever it is that catches his fancy, when Taz lays in his bed, having his nails clipped.

Best Tricks: What tricks?? My mom's a chessie - I don't have to do any "tricks"
Arrival Story: Wrigley's mom was found out wandering around one year during a freezing typical Minnesota winter - a kind family took her in and saved her - she had heartworm and was pregnant.
Wrigley is the first dog ever for my husband and myself. We had been talking about it for a few months and then saw a poster of him and his siblings and had to meet them. It was all over once I walked in the door. The family interviewed me and thought it would be okay if Wrigley came home with us 2 weeks later.
We have loved him every moment (even those stubborn ones) since. We look forward to all the years ahead! I've never had a dog in my life before Wrigley - the bond we share is amazing - how do you describe it?
"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion." ~Unknown
"Dogs are a girls best friend."
Bio: Wrigley tore his CCL in his left knee in January 2006 and had TPLO surgery. He recovered well and then blew the OTHER knee in June of 2006. His surgeon was amazing and he has made a great recovery. I still get nervous when he chases after squirrels, but he didn't have the surgery to not be a dog, right?
We haven't been to the Dog Park as much as we'd like this year, but hope to return on a more regular basis later this fall.
Wrigley also has epilepsy and is hypothyroid. He's being doing really well on medication and I think, feels the best he's felt in a long time.
He's incredible with our son and is a wonderful canine pal - we are so lucky!

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Wow, what an honor! I can't believe Wrigley was the featured Diary of the Day on Saturday. I know he would think that is the coolest thing ever! I'm so grateful for all your kind words and support - thank you to everyone who's stopped by Wrigley's page and given gifts, dropped paw pal lines and for your pup pal requests. Wishing you all a very happy holiday season.
I'm so sorry, but wanted to let you know Wrigley lost his battle with epilepsy early Thanksgiving morning. He'd been having seizures since that Monday, was at the ER, then our vet, and then back to the ER. We tried everything we could, even had Walgreen's hand-making a certain medicine for him! At one point we were hopeful they would let us bring him home, but with everything we tried, he was still seizing. After spending time with him, it wasn't fair to keep letting his body go through it anymore. We had to let him go. He was an amazing friend and such a brave soul. Our family is truly devastated, but I keep telling myself to think of him as a blessing, not a loss.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, especially my son, Max, who lost his "buddy".
Crap...Wrigley had a seizure today. I'm not sure what's going on - we thought he'd be better after being on thyroid meds. (thinking there might be a correlation between the two.) At least it was only ONE and he seemed to come out of it "okay", but is completely wiped out! Will talk to the vet tomorrow.
GOOD TIMES - We went to the Dog Park and down to the lake on Saturday and Wrigley had a blast swimming after a tennis ball and seeing his old friends Brynn and Chole!
