Happy Birthday America!!

Yesterday was the 4th of July. Mom and Dad said that is a really important day (I think they just like to stay home with me and Lacey). It was a really good day for Lacey and me because we got to have our peoples home and we got to do all kinds of fun stuff.
We got to take a walk past the swimming pool (they never let me and Lacey go swimming there) to the pond. Yaaaay!!. Me and Lacey got to go swimming in the pond and chase sticks and a tennis ball and roll in the mud and shake and run and swim and roll in the mud and shake and swim. Boy it was fun! Lacey likes to start at the top of the of the hill and roll in mud all the way down to the water - what a mess. You'd think that she would want to stay nice and pretty, but no, she likes to go from blonde to brunette just by rolling in the mud.
After we went swimming we got to walk home and then take a bath on the driveway. Oh boy is that fun! I get to bite the water coming out of the hose just as much as I want. I could fight with the hose all day long. After I got a bath it was Lacey's turn. She doesn't like baths like I do. I think she doesn't like the hose so much. Then we had to hang out on the porch (booo) for a couple of hours until we got kind of dry.
After supper, Dad played ball with me and Lacey for a while and then we all went in and watched tv. I got to get up on the couch with Mom and snuggle in and fall asleep on my back.
What a perfect day.
