Arrival Story:
Romy (full name Roaming Romy of Magisch, CGC) was my first small dog. i picked her out when she was just 2 weeks and 4 days old, visited her mom and siblings weekly until she could come home. She came from Buzz's Marina in Ridge MD. Her name is Roaming because at 6 weeks old, she was out with her siblings and breeder and wandered off and was lost in the middle of 80 acres of woods for 3 whole days! Finally she decided to start howling and that's how they found her. She is absolutely the best little dog and a great introduction to this charming breed! Her name Romy is German (where schnauzers originated) for Dew of the Sea, which i thought was fitting since she came from the owner of a marina:) She was a joy from the start... Adapted some of her standard schnauzer cousin's traits and is a great herd dog of my dairy goats, all 12.7 pounds of her! Her exuberance just has to make you smile!

Bio:
Romy started obedience training at 6 mos old and easily earned her Canine Good Citizen award at the tender age of 9 mos... Eventually we will be going on to compete in AKC obedience and agility events. And we also really want to try EARTHDOG:) Romy was bred last December (05) to CH Mai-Laur Black E-Nam-L. She had 3 solid black puppies, Diosa, Eban and Malte. Eban and Malte have been placed in pet homes. Diosa was kept with the hopes of going onto show in AKC conformation, however she did not stay black and was placed with a great aunt to be spoiled and pampered for the rest of her days. This last Marcy, Romy was bred to Germanika Walk on Top Orsini a black and silver Polish import. She had 6 solid black girls. We are very excited, Romy surely had some GORGEOUS babies:) We kept the nicest show prospect Alka, you can visit her on her dogster page. You can read more about all of the schnauzers at my website, www.magischms.com on the Magisch schnauzers page.

I CAME HOME TODAY! Mom went to visit me cause she missed me and had a bad feeling in her tummy. Well she got there and my son Tramp was running around barking as usual and here comes me, covered in fleas and matts and HUMUNGOUSLY pregnant by my son. So she took me home, we are going to see the vet asap about the puppies to makes sure everything is okay and they will all go to pet homes if possible... Hopefully I don't need a cesarean, but we'll get it all checked out. About an hour after my bath and ride home, I was groomed for the first time in a year and a half and I look and feel great... Hey Makena, how are you doing???

Love and roofs,
The Roamster!

Well, as whelping approaches, mom has been taking me to visit lots of people who love schnauzers (who doesn't?) and an uncle of hers absolutely adores me. We were moving to New Mexico, and she had offered a puppy to Uncle David, but he's older and not really up to the many rigors of a new schnauzer baby. And he loved all my tricks, roll-overs, sits, shakes and everything else... Mom never in a million years dreamed I would live anywhere but with her... But her uncle lives all alone, he is older and doesn't have a lot of company... And my devotion and level-headed adultness would be perfect for him. I'm already trained to not make messes in the house (unless you leave paper out!) and have had obedience so I listen very well. Uncle David lives on the Crooked River, with a huge sandpit and lots of woods to go rodent hunting. I think it will be fun.

So between now and June, I will get to visit him a lot, and about May or so, will go to stay with him for the month before Mom moves. If things work out I will be a Mainer for the rest of my life... Here's to new adventures, but I will sure miss all of you guys.

Over and out:)
Romy
