When her sister Emma steals her monkeys, clipping her nails & being summoned from a nap to take a walk. Also dislikes rain & puddles.

Arrival Story:
Mellie came to NYC from Alabama when she was only a handful at the age of 8 weeks, and I knew immediately she was special. She adores people & is the most loving dog ever! She's a true scene stealer & we can't walk down the street w/o being mobbed by her legions of fans. She's also a bit bizarre, as is the nature of dachshunds; she sleeps w/ her Mommy like a teddy bear on her back, with her head on the pillow & under the covers. She also plays "Demon Dog" w/ her Daddy, making a truly heinous noise like she's been possessed. This sound frightens even herself; we once recorded it & when we played it back she ran into her crate, fleeing from the terrifying sound! She brings a joy into our lives that is unfathomable. I don't play favorites, but Moo is an incredibly special dog & owns my heart.

My mom entered me on the site Petendipity.com for Pet of the Month. If I win we get a prize (which I will share with my sisters Emma & Bink, of course!).
