Likes:
His family, loves playing with other Paps, the dog runs--baby carrots :)

Pet-Peeves:
So does not like when dogs approach him too fast for his little comfort level. Hates it when his annoying little brother ruins the perfect stalking he was doing by bolting out crushing his imagined chance of getting the squirrel

Favorite Toy:
Sacred Squirrely Toy, Moo Bully sticks

Favorite Food:
Stella & Chewys & Innova Evo (yummy) WATERMELON

Favorite Walk:
Any where near nature-grass & trees, fresh air--he adores stalking the squirrels all around the park down the block

Best Tricks:
Maybe not best but one of his favorites--I say 'Seam gimme a kiss'!!! and he bolds to me to deliver the goods--with total glee!!! (see picture to left) whata guy :)

Arrival Story:
I love this quote from the Westminster Kennel Club Website: The Papillon is companion dog par excellence. The choice of the French Court in the Reigns of Kings Henri III, Louis XIV and XV (1600s - 1790s), this small, elegant, silky-coated toy dog continues to delight fans throughout Europe, Japan and the Americas. The Papillon excels in conformation and obedience as well as agility and tracking. Intelligent and friendly, the pap is happiest when pleasing. The breed comes in two otherwise identical varieties: the Papillon (butterfly) features erect ears; the Phalene (moth) sports drop ears. Elegant, dainty, light, of fine-boned structure - the Papillon dog is much like the butterfly it celebrates. In the summer of 2004 I decided a Papillon would be the best breed for me for many reasons--size-(portability)-temper ment, such easy grooming, no grooming cost (yee haa)--and ohh so damn cute & regal looking. I am really drawn to the black & whites so started contacting breeders in NJ,NY, PA,MA,RI, CT & MD. I knew exactly what I wanted-- a beautiful, young-(did not have to be a pup), male, black & white from good healthy lines. It was hard but I was patient and hung in there till one day months later as I was searching for dog shows in the NJ area on line I stumbled across a collection of photos from a recent NJ Pap Playday with the photographers email included. I noticed this one young stunning blk & wht and wrote to the email address asking for the breeder of that particular dog. It took days and a few emails to hear back (she had no idea who I was) and finally she sent me the breeders email. Turns out she is in Connecticut and the dog I was so admiring was male, 5 mos AND possibly available!!!! Nancy & Allan Duke, Camelot Papillons ( Middletown, Conn.) and I spoke many times--she even came to inspect my home, family and other pets--Its ok though cause I figure a breeder who is that careful REALLY cares about her dogs--so that was a big plus for me. When she and I discovered Seamus and I share the same birthday we figured it was meant to be. So since December 2004 my life has been enriched and blessed with my sweet kissy poo Sir Seamus and I am so thankful & grateful. I love this boy so much it actually scares me sometimes. If I am away from him too long (in hours mind you) I start mourning on a physical level too--I miss all of him soooo much--his kisses, his warm little fuzzy body & his wonderful smell--yes maybe I have it really bad but I am addicted to my baby boys natural sweet smell. Not to mention his little tootsies which are smaller than my cats feet and smell like popcorn tee-hee he has the BEST sense of humor too. I go crazy & melt when he alarm barks for a short time then starts his whining song (if you know Seam you know what I am talking about) he goes hhmmm hmmm oh never mind you have to hear it. It sounds sort of like a whale song, with changing pitch and tone. I have to make fun of him when he does that and mimic him back--it drives him crazy when I tease him--he's like 'Mom I am doing my job don't make fun of me'--then he jumps up laughing--yes he laughs and mock attacks me with kisses and head grooming and we both get hysterical laughing. Those NJ Play day photos are the last 3 posted below --you could tell even then he was so much fun & beautiful too.
