Its been awhile

Its been awhile since I made an entry. I have lots to catch up on.

A couple weeks ago Jess was out with some friends, (she didn't take me with *pout*) While Jess was out she came across a doggie tied to a pole with a piece of short rope. :( No collar, tags, chip or anything. After some investigating she found out that the police had tied him up there. They didn't want him to get hurt with the dance going on. After talking to several people Jess decided to take the doggie home. The police said that was great and helped her get him in the car. Guess the poor guy had been wandering town for a few weeks.

I helped Jess make some fliers, and she posted some found ads too. No one came to claim him. I felt so bad, Jess is a great mommy, and I wished he had one too. I didn't understand why he wasn't wanted anymore. Then my wish came true. Jess said since no one came forward, he could stay with us.

I was soooooo happy. Now he got a great family, and I got a new brother. Even though he is really big, I hope I grow up to be as big as he is. He's about 2 years old and weigh 90 pounds. 0_O We get along really good, his name is Max.

Jess even bought us a new car. She said her escort was just not big enough for me and Max, and her and the girls. So she bought a jeep for us. We haven't got to ride in yet, but that is so cool. I can't wait to go for a ride.

We've been to lake a few times, and Petco too.

On Sunday we are all going to have our pictures taken at Petco. I think that will be fun. I'll be sure to put up some pics when we get back.

Time to go and tease Max with my bone, bark at you all later.

Getting Excited

I've heard talk this morning of the girls going to spend the night at the friends house. I didn't like the idea, I don't want my girls to go away. :( But then I heard we might go to the monument, and maybe Petco.

I still don't want the girls to go, but I sure hope we can go to Petco. Not sure what the monument is, but I bet that's fun too.

The Lake

The other day, Jess announced Ok, lets get ready to go to the lake. Everyone got excited, I got confused, What's a lake?

We all jumped in the car and headed for this mysterious lake thing. I figured it would be fun, everything else has been, and I trust Jess.

When the car finally stopped we got out. I saw what looked like th biggest water bowl I'd ever seen. There was a beach there too.

I had lots of fun digging in the sand with the girls. We played fetch on the beach with my ball toy. And I went swimming for the first time.

I'm still not to sure about the whole swimming thing, but Jess said I was really good at it. Maybe next time I'll swim more.

We also went on a long walk down the beach. So many new and interesting smells to explore. It was a great time.

I've been so excited to tell everyone about what's been going on I forgot to tell you all who I live with. There's Jess of course, and her two girls. There fun to play with too. :)

First trip to Petco

My first trip to Petco was scary at first. I'd never been in a store before. It took me a little while to get used to it. But then it was fun.

There were sooo many people there and they all wanted to pet me. Woohoo, I LOVE people. I got to meet some doggy friends too. I feel bad I can't remember their names though. But I met a dachsund, pomeranian, a pug and really large mix. They were pretty friendly. The pug was my age, and he said he was a little nervous too, but having fun.

I got to look at all the toys and beds. Jess said she'll let me pick out a bed sometime. :) And they had Boodas there. I wanted all the cows, cause I have one at home, there my favorite.

I got to see hamsters, rabbits, ferrets and fish. I wasn't allowed in the bird room though :( but Jess said it was better for the birds if I didn't go in. I did get a peak through the glass though. They looked neat too.

I was soo tired after that, all the excitement wore me out, but I can't wait to go back again.

Entry from Jess

I've had MB for about 3 weeks now, since I didn't start his Dogster page until today, I'm just going through and helping him update daily happenings over the last 3 weeks. Rather than one large entry, we'll do several shorter ones.

What's this?

My second day home Jess gave me new food. But it wasn't the food I was used to. I was used to eating "dog" food, like my mommy ate.

Jess got out my new food, and said here MB, chicken for you today. I looked at this thing called chicken and didn't really believe she wanted me to eat that. I saw my other humans eat this before, but they cooked it and I was never allowed to eat it.

I smelled the new food, then tried a little taste, and oh boy, it sure beat the food my mom ate. Took me a while to figure out how to eat it though. Now I look forward to my chicken. Its soooo yummmmy! I just can't get Jess to let me eat on the carpet.

I get other yummy things too. Raw eggs, the shells are nice and crunchy, Jess says there full of calcium for my bones. I also get liver once in awhile.

I really like my new food, and Jess says it might help me get rid of my itching too. That would be so nice, I don't like being itchy.

Going to my new home

I was playing with my brother and sisters one day, when some people I never met before came. They'd played with us all for awhile, and then they asked our humans if they could take me home.

What?! did they mean? I was worried. They picked me up and carried me to the car. I'd never been for a car ride before. It ws scary. I missed my brother and sisters. I wondered where we going and what would happen when we got there.

Jess my new mommy told me everything was ok and that I'd have alot of fun. I wasn't to sure about all this.

Just as we were about to my new home, I got sick in the car. I thought I was going to get in trouble, but Jess didn't say anything, she just cleaned it up when we got home.

When we got there I found lots of new toys. My favorite is Booda, its a funny sqeaking cow.

I wasn't really into playing that day, so I stuck close to Jess, I wanted to be back with my family. :(

The next day I felt a little better, even though I had to sleep in a crate that night, it wasn't so bad though. I had a chew toy and a nice soft blanket. Jess put my crate right next to her bed so I wouldn't feel so lonely. I was worried about having to go potty in the night, I wanted to be a good boy and not go in my crate, but I didn't know if I'd be able to wait all night. I didn't have anything to worry about though, when I started to fuss, Jess took me out to potty.

I still miss my family, but I'm glad I got to go home with Jess. I never know what fun stuff we'll do everyday. I hope my brother and sisters found new homes as good as mine.
