Arrival Story:
Bess was the runt puppy from a litter from a back-yard breeder (I didn't know any better at the time). She was underweight, and was being pushed around by her litter-brother who they planned to keep. I sat in the back seat with her on the ride home, and she fell asleep in my arms. It was love at first sight!
Bio:
Bess died at the age of 9 on the 4th of July, 2003. She is sorely missed. She was my first dog that was not my family's dog, but mine alone. She was my sole immediate family for several years when I was single, and fell in love with my husband faster than I did.
