Arrival Story:
Well, my family had a dog before me who died of cancer at the beginning of June. Duncan was really sad and started going through separation anxiety, so after searching every shelter on Long Island for a small dog (my Mommy is afraid of big dogs) Ellie and Mommy came to North Shore Animal League. I had just been dropped off the day before by my old family because they said "they didn't have time for me" (they didn't even name me :( ), and I had gotten neutered the morning they came so I was in the back taking a nap. One of the ladies who worked at the shelter thought Ellie and Mommy would be a good match for me. I liked them a lot, and promptly fell asleep in Ellie's lap. Apparently I'm pretty cute or something, because Ellie had to fight off another family who wanted me, but Ellie won.
