She doesn't "do" walks, but loves to go to the dog park. She doesn't get down to play as she is so tiny, but she loves to watch and supervise.

Arrival Story:
Ruby was rescued from a very abusive home. The people who owned her were observed kicking her, picking her up by the scruff of the neck and beating her, sometimes with a shoe. She was allowed to run free and was observed almost being hit by cars several times everyday. The people bred her when she was barely a year old and when she was pregnant, she was observed loose and was almost run over by a semi coming through town. She was rescued and we took her in 3 weeks before she was due to have her puppies.
Of course she needed a c-section which cost us $600. She had 3 puppies which are all neutered and in loving homes. Her daughter Pearl lives close by and they get to play all the time.
Bio:
Ruby is one tough little dog. She weighs just over 3 lbs but she is definitely the alpha dog of our pack. She can grab Mikey the 60 lb basset by the lip and have him on the ground instantly. When she lets go, he lays there until he is sure it is ok with Her Majesty that he rises in her presence. She supervises the dog yard and doles out doggy discipline with an iron paw.
