Arrival Story:
Max was a "teenaged" puppy at a small pet store in North Georgia -- he was getting a little bit too old and too active to be confined to a cage when we stumbled upon him three years ago this summer. My husband couldn't resist him -- it was love at first sight; I was a tougher sell, as I was leery of buying a purebred dog from a pet store. My husband bought the dog and as soon as we settled into the car to head home, he curled up in my arms and I was a goner. He's had both of us trained ever since.

Max honestly thinks he's a child -- he's constantly reaching to be picked up and loves to give hugs!
