He likes to listen to Nina Simone. Also, he LOVES meat, but he will also eat carrots, lettuce, pears, apples, bananas, green beans, cauliflower, and trash off the street. He's pretty much a goat-dog.
Pet-Peeves:
Harry doesn't like to get haircuts or take baths. Lately he's been up in arms (paws?) about censuring President Bush. And he really wants the media to let up on Martha Stewart.

Arrival Story:
I was volunteering at an animal shelter. On my first day, they gave me a tour of the joint. I saw this little one-eyed scrapper in a tiny cage with this black miniature pinscher named Chi Chi. I audibly gasped the first time I saw Harry! After that, all the volunteers got to walk dogs. I kept holding out when they were assigning dogs to people, hoping I'd get the one-eyed dog. But no luck. I got Chi Chi instead.
After we were done walking all the dogs, I asked if I could see "Rufus" (that was Harry's hillbilly shelter name). They brought him out and I fell in love with him immediately. I knew we'd be together. It was kismet pure and simple.
Later, Peter Falk's wife, Shira Falk, helped with the adoption. She volunteers at the shelter, and she's awesome. She was especially happy about this adoption because her husband only has one eye too!
Bio:
How long did Harry live on the street? The world may never know. We do know the following: 1) Harry's right eye was cut and infected when they found him in downtown L.A. It had to be removed; 2) his left eyelid has two notches on it--probably from a cat or dog fight; 3) he's missing a bunch of teeth; 4) Harry was starving and nearly dead when they found him; 5) he's the greatest dog in the world. Check out his pup pal Ivy below. The resemblance is frightening! But she's missing the other eye. It's straight out of that episode of Star Trek where there's this parallel planet but everything is reversed.
