Ah to be young again, new in this world and full of life. To run with endless energy, and explore. These are the days i miss, the days when i was young. I started this life tiny. When i first met my owner i was the tiniest little pup she had seen. i even fit in the palm of her hand. Origionally my owner was told i was a german shepherd/siberian husky mix but soon she found that to be false on my first vet visit. Oh i was very healthy indeed, but they told my owner that they did not think in anyway that i was even part siberian husky and maybe just maybe i did have a bit of german shepherd in me. But she didnt mind, Nope she just refered to me as her mystery dog. I grew fast and became a great escape artist. one day tho after my usual escape through going under her bed, i found my head stuck under it. Whimpering and yelping i called for help. she came up and laughed when she saw my silly predicament and quickly freed me and made sure i didnt hurt myself. after about a year i really started exploring the neighborehood. i would get loose every chance i got and go exploring, sometimes i would be gone for up to 2 days. but i would always come back. when i reached 3 years old, i began getting grey hairs around my nose. The vet said some dogs get it early some late and some not at all. guess i got it early. so anyways a year later a bump began growing on my neck. my owner was worried get it kept getting bigger. so into the vet i go and they took samples of it and it was benign thank god. so it continued to grow, and grow and eventually became as big as a persons fist. anyways by the time this happened i was about 9 years old, which is also about the time when my owner got paws. ah she was young and i was old but i was still top dog despite my age and i let her know it from the beginning. but boy did she play rough she would always go after the bump on my neck and make it bleed. so my owner saved up $250 for me to have it surgically removed and tested once more for cancer. they had to put me under twice b/c it took so long to remove it. it was huge and luckily it turned out to just be a growth and nothing more. i was soo happy to finally have it gone! the darn thing weighed just about 5 pounds. in a few months i was all healed and ready to play more. then a year later my owner got another pup for me and pawz to play with. her name is Jewel, but my owner mostly calls her julie. ah but thats the end of this story. til next time all you young pups.
