She just likes to be in the grass, she never saw the outside much before I got her and her front legs are hadicapped so she doesn't walk too much.

Arrival Story:
I went with my boyfriend to help his friend move out of his girlfriends house and I caught a glimps of some small animal as it was being tossed back into the bathroom to be locked up. I got curious and went in to see what the small little animal was and saw the cutest dog I have ever seen. I noticed that there was something wrong with her legs, knowing the people I didn't ask them what happened because they would just lie anyway. Well, come to find out they were getting rid of her. They were waiting for someone to come up from California to take her so I said that I would care for her for the time being. I ended up keeping her and finding out the story of what happened to her legs. The owner let her 18 month old daughter swing her around by the front leg. Her legs dislocated at the elbows and they thought that her legs were broken. To them it was a waste of money to take her to the vet so she passed her off to her mother-in-law and the moved to California. She moved back and the mother-in-law made her take her back because she didn't want her around (come to find out she locked her in a cage outside at night and kicked her around the house). Well, her original owner locked her in the bathroom with no food or water. She was almost dead when I found her. She had kidney and bladder infections and spent many days in the hospital getting well. We had x-rays done of her elbows and there is no joint because the bones have fused together. The vet said that they could do surgery and it would be $2,000-$2,400, but, because she had been in that state for so long, the chances of her walking normal again were slim to none so there was no reason to put her through that kind of pain. She has a little arthritis but other wise she is in no pain. I also had to have her spayed and I had to have her 2 baby kanines pulled because she never had anything hard to chew on to work them out so they were rotting behind her adult kanines. I have now had her for a little over a year and she goes everywhere with me. She has developed such a personality. The change in her is unbelievable!
