Victorian Fires

Firstly I want to say we are ok!! However, sadly so so many are not. And so many more furbabies are gone forever :( The fires came on Saturday the 7th in one of the worst ever weather conditions we have ever seen. The temperature reached 47 degrees Celsius with winds gusting up to 90km an hour. Mum saw the fires were heading our way half an hour from the North and circling round half and hour from the East. A wind change at 6.45pm saved us....

We want to thank all our pals on Dogster for the many pmails & rosettes your thoughts & prayers will stay with us forever.

Australia right now is still under threat with 20 fires still burning out of control and well over 180 people dead. The estimate figures of wildlife and pets lost are over 1 million.

We are all pulling together to help our mates in need

VISITORS FROM OVERSEAS!!!!

Wow I so can't believe it - Duncan decided to bring his girlfriend Veronica on a trip in his airplane to visit me in Australia!!! Then the word spread round and he offered to pick up Tinkie My Valentine too!! Then Raja Babu and his Valentine Chloe Girl wanted to come along. AND then Abbie and her Valentine Koleko came as well!!! I was so excited to see all my pals and especially Tinkie!

Its an Aussie custom to have a (Barbie) BBQ during summer – today temperature is 30 degrees Celsius – converted to Fahrenheit is 86. The sky is blue and only a slight breath of wind. So perfect weather to cook up a rooster! (Kangaroo)

Duncan sets the plane down beautifully in the back paddock and all my pals run up to meet us!!! We have a wonderful BBQ and then chill out on the front lawn. There is Kangaroo hoping past but we has just eaten one so we let that one go!!

We decided to fly to Sydney to take in an Opera at the Opera House and a tour of Sydney Harbour.

The flight was only an hour from Melbourne and we arrived safely in time to catch La Traviata....a beautiful love story - so right for us couples in love!

We got some nocula's and went on a cruise round the harbour and went right under the Sydney Harbour Bridge!!!

We were all pretty knackered by this time and it was time to go home for my Mates! It was the best day ever and still pinching myself that it even happened!!

I think everyone had a ripper of a day :)

I Got A Valentine!!!

Cupid struck my butt cheek - the one with the love heart and the name on the arrow is Tinkerbell

I am so excited!! I was real nervous but got up the courage to ask her and she said yes!!! YIIPEEE I am so excited!!

What a looker!!! And a heart of gold! The song on my page is for her!!

Me DOTD???

Wow - We got up this morning and Mummy switched on the computer as normal - then went to make a coffee. Me and Annie were still sleeping under the blankets on the couch - next thing we hear Mum screeching - what was all the noise about? so I decided to investigate. Mum and I nearly collided in the hall and she was singing my baby is DOTD - then from out of nowhere she does a little jig with me. Hey I love a bit of dancing so down the hall we went bootscooting all the way!!

Well the rest of the day - she fed me eggs for breakfast - and played frisbee with me and even watched a movie together!!! I got lots of scruffs and raspberries on the belly!!!

I'm not real sure as to what this DOTD means - but it made my Mummy happy and that is all that matters to me - cause me and my sister are all the most important part of her life and we know it :)

Our Cousin came over!!!

I am so excited!!!! our cousin Bronx is coming for a sleep over!!
Mum keeps says "Where's Bronx" and I wizz around the house looking for him. Well she didn't tease me for too long. She left for a bit and came back WITH HIM!!
We love to play! My sister Annie doesn't really like him - I heard that when Mummy got Annie, my Uncle and Aunty came to see her, and the next day my Uncle rang and said he got Bronx - Annie is 2 weeks younger and they met the next day. Little Annie flew out of the basket (she could barely walk mind you) and they had a tossle. They are OK now but I Love Him!!
We played all day yesterday and he brought STEAK for dinner. We all drooled while Mummy cooked it just a little and cut it all up for us.
Then it was time to do the horses. Bronx is not real wised up about them and goes wandering in their paddocks - after last time when he got a fright when one of the big horses came running up behind him - he was really good and listened to my Mummy the whole time.
Then we went to bed and Brox didn't annoy any of us this time - Mummy was so happy she got to sleep till 6.30am.
More playing today - Mummy posted a video on my page - then we had to have a BATH - CRAP!!!! - but it was worth it.....I guess....
Now me and sis (and Mummy) are about to pass out for the rest of the day.
Can't wait till next time....

Just spent the week at our Uncle's

Daddy has just come home again from another business trip. Not sure what that means - but he goes away alot with a suitcase.

Our Uncle lives on the same property as us - so when Daddy's gone Mum packs up all her stuff and mine and my sister Annie's stuff and we move in next door. It's so fun there. My Uncle seems to have so many friends, they come at all times of the day and night. Most of them know us - so they bring treats with them!! We are aloud to sit on the couches (when the blankets are covering them) and the best bit is we are even aloud to sleep in bed with Mummy!!!

Mummy says that my Uncle is a little strange and I think she means when he (for no reason I can see) makes all these funny noises - bit like Zena the warrior lady on TV) then he just keeps calling our names. He also grabs our tails when we go past and laughs and says "got your tail" thats when we know he wants to play - so we go scooting around the house with our Uncle chasing us!! Mummy tells him to stop harrassing us - but we actually love it!

I even went sleep walking the other night. We went to bed with Mummy and the next morning my Uncle said that I had gotten up, walked into the lounge, my Uncle said hi to me - but I didn't look at him - just walked around the coffee table and went back to bed......mmm

Anyway, Dad's back so we have to go back to sleeping on our bean bags.

Its so much work when Mum brings home bones

Firstly I have to state that I LOVE BONES! but its alot of work. When Mum comes home with a bag of bones - I know that for the next week or till I've eaten them all, I need to be on guard all the time.

The first thing is to bury them all. This is stressful in itself.... I need to make sure that no one (especially my sister) is watching where I put them. This can take hours. And some times the bones are really big and I can be walking around and around the backyard with them in my mouth till I find the right spot. Normally this is a soft spot cause I need to dig a big hole for a big bone - if Mummy sees me she screams STOP THATS THE FLOWER BED!! So off I go again to look for somewhere else.

When I am finished - we go and do our chores and other things - but when I get back I have to go and make sure that all the bones are still where I put them and no one has pinched them! Any noise I hear at night must be someone trying to steal my bones....so I wake up Mummy to open the door so I can check - but she comes outside with me and SEES where they are, so then I have to wait for her to go back inside and then move them all again!!

Phew it's tough.
