Birthday: September 1st 2003 Likes: Food, cat toys, rawhide, walks, cuddling and being part of the family Pet-Peeves: Loud noises, most of all thunderstorms Favorite Toy: Cat toys, and her own stuffed squeaky toys Favorite Food: Gravy or wet food added to her Nutro nuggets Favorite Walk: Anywhere, let's go! Arrival Story: We adopted her October 23, 2005 following the death of one of our two dogs we had had 13 years. That dog, Daisy, was a rescue and I think she would've liked that to be a tradition. Most important was a dog that had or could live with kitties since we have a bunch, and that our other dog, Ginger, had to approve! Like our dogs before her, she's a real pushover with the cats :) Bio: Pounce was rescued from a county pound that thankfully alerted a rescue group that she had run out of time! She had obviously been traumatized and got her name by way of fact that she cowered in a corner of her cage and wouldn't budge, when she finally did move she scooted laying down. It took six days before she would come to her rescuer, she was coerced by being thrown Pounce cat treats that were in her pocket! While in "rehab" she lived with many animals and loved all of them and took to crate training easily. When she came home with me our dog Ginger taught her how to walk on a leash in less than a week, she loves her walks and is sooo confidant now. And she hated riding in a car, which I never had a dog not like, but we practiced by going to Petmsart (I never took our other dogs there!), the vet or the dog park. We got her a car travel harness (highly recommend it) and she learned to love riding, too :) Sadly, her friend Ginger has passed away now too; but she has many neighbor buddies, and our cat Peaches who keeps her in line when she's in the yard!
