My mom and I went to the Ft Worth Humane Society to find a puppy and there he was with his sister. I really wanted a girl but he was so much better looking than she was.

Bio:
We had him so much longer than we'd ever had any other dog and when we lost him, it was heart wrenching. Even though he was over 15 years old and he'd had a long and very good life, it was so very hard to lose him and I still miss him every single day and many times think that I hear him scratching at the back door.

After 8 months, I still hear him scratching at the back door when he wanted back in, and I still sometimes expect to see him greet me at the door when I return from a long grueling day at work. Even though we're getting another puppy soon, she will never replace you and we will still miss you EVERY day.

Snoopy was my daughter, Brittany’s first dog, and it was love at first sight. We brought him home from the pound in April of 1990, and Brittany was only 5 at the time. She chose his name, and one of my favorite memories of him was him playing in her tent. He would get a running start and run underneath one side and out the other. He was the most loving dog and it has been a very difficult and painful 8 months since we lost him to congestive heart failure. Our only consolation was that he had a long and happy life and I don’t think he ever wondered if he was loved, especially since he was the one in control. He didn’t live with us – we lived with HIM. I often envied him, snoozing on his comfy bed when we had to trudge off to work every day. I frequently tried to get him to trade places with me for even a day but he was smarter than that.

Miss you every day, little buddy.
