This has been an interesting week. Tuesday I final found out what Mom has been calling the “spa”. Dad took Zeus to this place that Zeus calls the groomers. Zeus has been there before many times, but I stay at home. Zeus gave me some pointers like be nice to the people and it will all be over soon. I just got a bath and my nails done. Zeus got the works. The shaved him down to almost nothing. I didn’t know what to think of that. Then they put this bandana on me. It’s o.k. but I can live without it. Now I know where Zeus goes to get rid of his fur. I must admit that I don’t envy him. Mom thinks I look so cute with the bandana. She keeps telling me that I am a pretty girl.
Last night we went for an adventurous walk. Here we were walking along and all of a sudden this German Shepard came out of nowhere and picked up Zeus. I would not stand for this manhandling of my brother. I stepped in and took on the Shepard. I let that dog know that we are tough pups and not to mess with us or there would be trouble. Later a chocolate lab followed us around. He was nice. We think he found his family.
Dad is leaving for the weekend. So we will be home alone with Mom for a little while. Then Aunt Katie and Cousin Grace will visit for a couple of days. We should have a good weekend looking forward to Dad coming home to rescue us.

Last Tuesday was my 5th birthday. Mom did a great job. She took us to the park for a great walk. Zeus was excited about the ducks, but I don’t like them much. They make a lot of noise. I enjoyed meeting the other pups and people. I just love people. Then we made treats, which we shared with our friends, Napoleon and Sapphire. Sapphire I hear really liked the treats. She tried to use a bath towel to scale the cabinets to get to the treats. The treats were very tasty! We got to have popcorn and watched Puppy Bowl II. Those puppies are so funny. But the best was when Dad officially adopted us as his children. We adopted Dad for our Dad for his birthday. So, now we are one big happy family.
