I was an extraordinary dog. I touched a lot of hearts. I was so dignified, calm, cool and collected when people took care of me. I lived on a farm. There is nothing in the world better than the farm life. I helped my dad with chores. My dad said, "He was my farm hand when it came to chores and always slept at the foot of the bed. We will miss him very much but I am glad that he is now free of pain and running thru the tall grass on the other side." I was ever vigilant because I wanted to make sure everyone was safe. I got along with the eight indoor cats. I barked when appropriate. I had wonderful canine brothers Zane and Buddy and a senior lady dog too. The responsibilities around the farm included taking care of the donkeys and goats, going to collect the mail, fixing stuff, going in the car to shop for supplies, and so on. In an earlier time, I had about eight years at a different home in a different state and evidently didn't have a great life. My sister and I were dumped at the pound in that state of California; after 2-1/2 months in that big city shelter we were about to get the needle because nobody rescued or adopted us. We were thankfully rescued in the nick of time because some people pleaded for us. Many people helped to get us rescued and onto adoption in six weeks. As you can see, I was adopted by the best mom and dad in the world. They took wonderful care of me for almost three years. I went to a groomer, had regular vet care, X-rays, medication and so on. Slowly old age creeped in, and suffering from injury in my earlier life took its toll on me. Ultimately it was time. I had been on meds for a while, but the pain was getting to be too much and there was nothing more for the vets to do, due to my being an oldster. My dad held me as the vet helped me out of pain and onto Rainbow Bridge June 5th, 2009. I'm buried on the farm and my folks miss me. I thought the world of them.

Hello World: Happy Thanksgiving! Thought you might like to see a current picture of my handsome self, taken pre-Thanksgiving 2007 weekend. That's my adoptive brother Zane the Border Collie-type guy there and one of the cats on the table. I am doing exceedingly well. Still basking in the love. Those new joint supplements are quite a kick too haha. I am doing the perky dance :-)
