   Leave a bone for Oreo

Quick Bio:
-mutt-dog rescue

Ice, snuggling, mom and dad, pestering the cat, waking us up in the morning.

Nothing I can think of, he was a happy boy.

Favorite Toy:
Any plushie being thrown had his undivided attention.

Favorite Food:
Anything, I can't think of a thing he wouldn't eat.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere, he had shoulder and joint problems so he didn't walk far.

Arrival Story:
Oreo and Lexie were littermates. After we adopted Lexie she and Oreo were so sad without each other that he started coming over to stay with us on the weekends so they could play. My husband immediately wanted to keep him, but I'll admit I had reservations. I was concerned at the responsibility of raising two puppies. Boy was I stupid, he turned out to be the most wonderful dog. Unfortunately he had some health issues. His foster mom worked really hard keeping him alive as an infant but unfortunately he had an abnormal shoulder joint in his front leg and suspected hip displaysia. He apparently also had kidneys that weren't functioning properly. In January of 2004 we had to put him to sleep because of kidney failure.

Oreo touched a lot of lives in his short year on earth. He was always so easy going. He even liked his vets, (he saw many in his time on earth). Unfortunately his body couldn't keep the promises his heart made. We miss you so much Oreo.
