Arrival Story: We met Abby the week before Thanksgiving 2004. I was about to start my last Chemo treatment we went to Petco to pick up some fish food and pet adoptions were going on. Abby (at the time Skippy)gave me the sweetest look, nudged me and I was in love. Anthony and I wanted to adopt a dog, but he felt we should look at a bunch of dogs before deciding. I didn't need to see other dogs, I was in love. That week, I took Anthony to the shelter we met lots of dogs but by the end of our visit we realized Skippy was the one for us. The shelter was great, my last chemo was the next week they kept her until my chemo was finished. We changed her name to Abby, which we found out means brings joy and she does bring us joy. She helped me during my recovery and is now my best fur friend.
Bio: She loves walking around the pond and flirting with Hondo (lab) through the fence.

Hello Abby-verse, have you missed me? Today is Abby Day, can you believe it? It has been four years since I adopted momma and dad. Four years, wow I am getting old.
The last year or so has been amazing. I am now legally the older, cuter and furrier sister of a toddler boy who adores me. Obviously, his first word was "Abby" -- the boy knows who runs the house. I enjoy spending most of my time with him. He loves to hug me, kiss me, bite me (I don't like that but I tolerate it) and of course to play with me. The fact that he worships and adores me are implied. I have all sorts of fun toys now that I share with him.
I am still working on my laundry addiction. The boy does not help with my addiction. His laundry is the most wonderful, awesome, mind altering smelling laundry I have ever smelled.
Abby-fans have you seen my momma? Evidently momma is reading the Twilight books for her book club so no one sees her. Momma you are not a 15 year old girl, come back to us.....
In the Abby-verse today is the most wonderful day of the year. I of course speak of Abby-Day the day that I adopted Momma and Dad. Boy did they need me, just between us they were pretty boring before me. What with all that free time they had and sleeping in. Crazy.
So today we celebrate 3 years together. This last year has been wonderful, we are in the process of adopting a baby boy (who I adore) he is still tiny but I am sure he will adore me pretty soon.
