Bean, Lowie, Crazy Horse, Grams

Doggie Dynamics:

Quick Bio:

August 8th 2003

There isn't much Aloha doesn't like. She loves to go for walks, loves to run, play and chase squirrels. She even loves getting a bath! Her absolute favorite thing, though, is going for car rides. She loves to go! go! go!

Aloha's pet peeve is being left behind. She hates when we leave the house and don't take her.

Favorite Toy:
Aloha loves stuffies. Actually, she loves to "de-stuff" stuffies. The only toy she had that she didn't de-stuff was a Baby Lamb that she got as a pup.

Favorite Food:
She likes it all!

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere...really fast!

Best Tricks:
Aloha knows some formal commands, but her best "trick" would have to be her ability to enter "Rocket Ship Mode." This is when she gets wound up and runs around as fast as she can. She gets the other dogs to chase her, but they can't catch her!

Arrival Story:
Aloha came to live with us as friend/partner for our first American Eskimo, Diesel. We found an ad for Eskimo puppies in the newspaper, called, and later adopted Aloha from a couple in the Lowe's parking lot. She is the most friendly of our American Eskimos and she also the one who barks the most! Aloha likes to get her pet supplies from Gina and Dillon at The Pet Connection in Macomb and she receives her veterinary care from the staff at Summer Street Animal Clinic.

"Aloha" was chosen as her name because we adopted her in the midst of planning our wedding in Hawaii. As "Aloha" also means love and friendship, the name is most fitting. Aloha is the mother of 11 pups - 5 in her first litter and 6 in her second. We know the location of all of her pups but two. We had Aloha spayed in October of 2006, but she is still the "matriarch" of our family. Aloha has more of a cream tint to her coloring than does Diesel. This coloring has also been inherited by Boolynn. As each of our dogs "acquires" a theme song, Aloha's is "Get Low" by the Ying Yang Twins because we shorted "Aloha" for "Lo" and "Lowie".

Woo-hoo! Can you believe it?! I was chosen by The Powers of Dog as a Dogster Diary Pick of the Day on Friday, May 30th! How puptastic! If that doesn't inspire me to bark at my secretary to write more often, then I don't know what will! The best part of being chosen was getting to meet some new pups, like Pippin, who was nice enough to even send me a congratulatory rosette! Thanks Dogster!

When You Gotta "Go"

Well, since it appears I am not going anywhere again today, I will sit and write a diary entry - BOL! Actually, I am just returning from a weekend at the farm and at my Grandma's house. Mom and Dad were out of town over Memorial Day Weekend, so we dogs got a little holiday ourselves. It was puptastic because I got two car rides each day - one in the morning when Uncle Seth took us to the farm, and one in the evening when he took me to Grandma's house. Anywoof, we had a blast!!

Mom gave us baths last night when we all got home. I love baths. I love to be brushed even more. When Mom got home from work today, I got brushed and dog oh dog am I lookin' and feelin' good!! What makes me the most happy of all, though, is that Mom and Dad forgot to pick up my bark collar from Grandma's house. BOL! Mom told Dad we will have to get it this weekend, but I am free to bark the rest of this week! Woo-hoo!

Actually, I've been pretty pooped from my weekend trip to the farm and have kept pretty quiet. I did manage to tell Dad I wanted some Dogzerts from the Schwann man last night, and I did bark at the little Yorkie who walks by our house every night, but other than that - I've been pretty good. Can you believe it?? What is wrong with me?? BOL!!! Mom says if it weren't for the barking, I'd be an angel. But, who wants to be good all the time, right??

Anywoof, we are enjoying spring. We've gotten to take several evening walks - which aren't as good as car rides, but it means I get to go somewhere and that is all that matters. Speaking of going, I had better get going myself! It is about my dinner time! Hope all my friends are having a puptastic spring so far!!

~ Aloha

I turned the big 0-4 this last Wednesday, August 8th. My Mom helped me celebrate by woof day by making us a plate of cookies. Mom made us "Peanut Butter Poppers" from a recipe she found in our Dogster Cookbook. I also got some pretty new stars and rosettes from my pup pals!
