woof.
I think I may have a new favorite day of the year---the day of the St. Patrick's Day parade in Salt Lake City. I wear a great hat, I look very handsome, and bandana which just adds to my charm. The event is called the Wasatch Waddle and is a fundraiser for Utah Friends of Basset Hounds and is an entry in the parade.
My little sister waddled for the first time and had a great time! We got tickled the entire parade route. I even did my famous Humphrey flop to give greater access to my belly. It's my favorite tickle spot. Mom said I had to keep moving so I would get up and look for a new group to tickle me. It was great fun!
After we were done with our part in the parade, my family stayed and watched the rest of the parade. People still came over to tickle me even when I was just sitting there, I was that approachable.
So, if you're ever in SLC around St. Patrick's Day, look for me at the parade, and make sure you give a pet.

Hi everyone.
My favorite day of the year has come...yep, that's right, I love Halloween. Why you ask? Well, it's when all the kids in the neighborhood come over and visit me while they actually think they are there for the candy. I even had a pirate hat on to complete the holiday. My sister Bacall wore a tutu that she stole off the rack at Petsmart, so Mom had to buy it for us. I then felt bad, so I got pick out my Pirate Hat.
Happy Halloween...

Ok,
Bacall arrived on July 8th! We met in the backyard and immediately started running around like crazy kids and played until we dropped in exhaustion.
She is way fun. I really like having her around. She plays with all of my toys and has me playing more. I didn't realize that I had gotten a little lazy until she showed up.
Sometimes, she treats me like a big chew toy, but it's ok. I give her a little grumble when I've had enough and she goes on and plays with something else.
We got her from the Utah Friends of Basset Hounds! They are the best!!!! They found the perfect match for me, plus we saved her life in the process.
Well, gotta go play.

My mom came home yesterday and sat me down and told me that I'm getting a little sister. She's 2 years old, so she's not a puppy. Her new forever name is Bacall. She's a basset hound like me.
She's not quite ready to come home yet, but I think I'm excited. Wish me luck.
I'll write again when she arrives.

Hi everyone..
I went to the Utah Friends of Basset Hound's party! I got to play with about 30 other basset hounds, but mostly I made new human friends and got tons and tons of tickles. :)
The most important thing that came out of the party is that I might be getting a new basset brother or sister. My mom is considering getting me a pal. Then we'll out number the cat!!! Dogs rule, especially me, and cats drool. K
I'll keep you updated.

Hi...
I'm very tired.
It was a very exciting morning when I joined the Utah Basset Rescue group at the Salt Lake City St. Patrick's Day parade. Along with about 40 other Basset Hounds, I walked in the parade. We raised a bunch of money for other Bassets who need a home.
All the kids along the parade route tickled me and said hi and waved.
It was a ton of fun,
but very tiring.

Aroooo.
I just got home from Pooches on the Pond at the Utah Grizzlies Hockey Game. I had my own seat and everything!! It was a fundraiser for the Utah Humane Society. I met a bunch of new people (got a ton of belly rubs) and hung out with over 100 dogs in our special section. I liked the game, except when they scored late in the game. They did a LOUD LOUD train whistle to celebrate. All of us dogs got a little scared, but my mom got me through it.

I went on my first road trip this month!!! My food slave and outdoor recreation coordinator, Melissa, took me to southeastern Utah. I saw Natural Bridges Natl Monument, Monument Valley, Newspaper Rock and a bunch of state parks. One of Melissa's friends sat next to me in the back seat so I wouldn't be lonely. I was very excellent in my behavior not crying or anything.
I got a bunch of extra snacks, stayed in my first hotel room and had a ball.
Later,
Humphrey
