Arrival Story:
Buster was a found in a Parish Pound. Waiting to be put to sleep, he was the only survivor in a litter of puppies that was picked up on an abuse case. His littermates and mother did not make it. Buster spent 17 months in a cage waiting for a wonderful person from a rescue group to pick him up. She gave him to us. As a promise to our 18 year old Pitbull, Jade, who passed on to doggie heaven, we were determined to rescue a pit - since she gave us so much joy. That's when we met Buster Brown and he has been with us since. We have spoiled him rotten.

Bio:
Buster was not treated for heartworms in the pound and had to go through an intensive surgery for Caval syndrome. Heartworm prevention is soooo important. Buster also recently had a close call - he had surgery for ingesting too big a ham bone. So no more bones ever for Buster! Buster also recently lost his best friend Dixie, a german sherpard that kept him in line. We all miss Dixie!
