Arrival Story:
After months of looking for a Maltese puppy, I talked to Chris Holm of Veneridge Maltese. She was the last recommended breeder I called, because she didn't have a Web page. (I'm a sucker for the photos!) When I told her I was interested in doing pet therapy, she said, "I think I have the perfect dog for you!"
Macy (originally called Magic) was almost 5 years old at the time. She had given birth to two litters, but she had problems delivering the second litter, so Chris decided to have her spayed and let her find a home where she could just be a pet. We met her and immediately fell in love! She came home with us a few weeks later, and we couldn't love her more.
Bio:
Sadly, Macy was diagnosed with GME in 2006. We did everything we could to help her, and she was such a little fighter, but on April 17, 2007, we decided it was time to finally let our little angel go.
