Arrival Story:
We adopted her from Pet Rescue in 2001. She was misstreated by her old owner. She was scared to go down the stairs for a long time, we think because she may have been thrown down them. She had been given to PetRescue by dog catchers. She had just been neutered when we met her, she was next to the cat cages when we found her, it was love at first sight.

Rescued when she was a 1 year old. She was about 11 pounds. We love her!

The Ride!

I had been in the car many more times, but I never knew where they would take me. Would they take me to the pound? Were they giving me away? What did I do this time?!? When we got into the car I usualy hopped right in, but this time I wanted to struggle! But before I got to... they brought a treat out! I jumped for the treat and into the car. Ooops! I didn't have time to struggle so I shook and cried. The kids pet me so much that I knew they were going to give me away! They looked sad and tired... or something like that. I looked out the window, we were in a brand new area. THE POUND! I knew it, I knew it! This area is knew to me because I've never been to a pound! I panicked! I cried! I shook like crazy! Then we pulled up into a drive way. There was a big building! OH, NO! The door opened... I saw a familiar dog. Tommy? NOO!! They took Tommy too! Then I saw the cousins of the children. Then I realized. This wasn't the pound, it was the human's cousin's new home! I got to play with Tommy and the children. It was the BEST ride ever!

Love at First Sight

I knew they'de love me! I was a scrawny and miss-treated one year old dog. And I was the cutest. When they saw me I saw love in their eyes! I knew they were the perfect family (so I made myself look even cuter). I was about 11 pounds at the time. Pet Rescue was starting to get loud and crowded so I was dieing to get out of my cage and into a house! The two young ones loved to pet me and I loved it too. The only thing I needed to do was to be fully potty-trained, gain some weight, and to be neutered. They adopted me on September first, 2001. I was neutered and gained about 11-12 pounds, I got a new collar, and a new fresh bed and cage. And now I'm about 6. I knew it was love at first sight!
