Arrival Story: (by Charlie's mom): My family and I were coming back from dinner out when we saw Charlie get run over by a car... and then a van. The little trooper ran half way across the city, scared to let us pick him up. We finally caught up to him and took him to the vet. The next day we posted his description in the paper, but no one claimed him! Our lucky day!

For the last couple of months we've been living with my grandpa Dan and grandma Terrie. We are staying in the same house my dad grew up in! It's fun, because I don't have to be in my cage very much. Even when mom or dad has to work, there's usually someone else to let me out in a few hours. Plus, they have a huge yard for me to explore and... uh... "claim."
But mom and dad really hoped to be in a place of their own by now. Especially with the holidays coming. So it looks like we are moving again - and again, it's only temporary. Until mom finds a real job, we are going to be living at my GREAT grandparent's old house. I've been over there a couple of times to help paint the house and strip off old wall paper. It's pretty small, but mom says that's okay for now.
The best part is the yard out back. I have a lot of room to explore, and mom likes it because it's fenced in. She doesn't have to worry about me exploring too far. The worst part is all the time I have to spend in my cage. But I love my mom so much. It's worth it to see her happy!

My family just can't stay put! I'm not complaining this time though!
My dad just finished up his active duty commitment to the Army, so we are going home back to Ohio. Mom and dad have been packing up my house for the last few weeks. It's kind of sad (especially for my mom), but also really exciting!
Ohio or BUST!

Mom and Dad just got back from being away for almost a month. They wanted to spend Dad's block leave doing something fun and exciting ... without their DOG. It's not really fair, but I understand. I didn't at first, though.
When mom dropped me off at the Doggie Doo, she was crying a little. I don't think she wanted to let me go. I didn't know what was going on, which made it a little harder on her I think. (Plus I'm old, and she didn't want me to die or anything while she was away!) Little did I know I was going to be at the Doo for FOUR WEEKS!
Luckily, aunt Jackie and uncle Aaron came and rescued me a few times. I got to hang out with their dog Boone for a little bit, but it was nice just to be able to sit and rest at their house. I like going to the Doggie Doo, because I can run around outside and be wild with other dogs. But, like I said, I'm an old guy! I can't handle running around and being wild for four weeks!
When mom and dad finally got back, they came to get me right away. Mom was very happy to see me, and I slept for a LONG time. It was nice to be home with my family again. Then I heard mom and dad talking about everything they had done.
It was fun to hear about Germany, the military flights they had to take to get there, and South Carolina, where they went last. THEN they mentioned that they had seen uncle James for his graduation from Basic Training while they were in South Carolina. NO FAIR! I was too tired to be really mad, but jeez! I haven't seen uncle James in FOREVER! Can't a dog have ANY fun?!
