Arrival Story:
Maddie was rescued from New Orleans 4 weeks after Hurricane Katrina. She had 6 puppies about 6 weeks old, they were in excellent condition, Maddie on the other hand, could not walk or even hold her head up. She recoved with intensive medical care and was brought to WA. There she was treated for grade 4 heartworms and spayed. She is pretty healthy considering all that she has been through, with the major problem being heart damage from the heartworms.
