Arrival Story:
An old friend of mine told me a while before I even told him I wanted a dog that there's a dog that looks like me at the pet store he bought his fish equipment. And I admit to being slightly offended that he said i looked like a dog. But he assured me she was very cute, had tons of character and even seemed to wear eyeliner as i did. i eventually decided i was ready for a dog and set out to find one. and there was a couple of misses since pet stores were closed when we finally had time, then one sunday afternoon we had time and coincidently ended up going to that pet shop. i walked in and it was a combination of love at first sight and fate. there she was all 3 pounds of her sitting in the pen, not exactly eager like the other dogs but she seemed to be trying to decide if she liked me too. she was full of character and very dignified as well as being incredibly beautiful. i took one look and knew. we had to be together. we got acquainted. i paid half and my friend paid half and i went home to get everything ready for my new daughter. she was the first and last dog i ever needed to see. i just knew and he was right she is like me in ways we wudn't have ever known. and she is a perfect match and being that she is a bit fiesty it breaks my heart to think she might have been adopted with someone less loving. a few years later, the horrible practice of puppy mills selling to pet stores surfaced and i realized that Shampooh was probably a victim of these inhumane business practices. Thus I encourage everyone I meet to not fall prey to unknowingly supporting these predators. However, I am very happy to have Shampooh in my life and would not have traded her for any other dog, I only wish she was not a product of puppy mill scandals. i know we were always meant to be together.

Shampooh has started a new blog in which she discusses everything dog and the world. please stop by for a visit sometime at Shampooh Nose.

Grandma and mom found the cutest pink backpack at Dexter's, my favorite shop in Del Mar, CA yesterday. I cannot wait to model it so mom can post pictures here on dogster. But I won't be seeing mom until Wednesday or Thursday because I'm staying at Grandma's so mom can study without my shouting hello to every dog and car that passes by our apartment.

I miss you mom!
