Bio:
Pebbles loves the sun and she also will play in the snow and dig.. Pebbles was married to Bogey Hartwig, another brown and white boston who lives in Arizona. We had hoped for babies; however, last year Pebbles was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. Her immune system destroys her red blood cells. Right now she is on three meds and doing great. Hoping to slowly stop all but one medication.

Pebbles Happenings

Pebbes and Angel now

On the 6th of November, our Pebbles went to the bridge. We battled constant vomiting and not eating for over a month. Blood work was good, endoscopy normal and rectal exam also. Finally we made the decision to send her so she could be healthy and whole again.
A couple days later our vet talked to me and said she was as upset about no reason for this and had a vet friend do a sonogram before she was cremated. Our girl had cancer in her abdominal cavity.
Now we had answers. Lessened our sorrow some, but we still miss our talking girl. Our happy all the time baby. She is now with Snorts and Bruzer.

It is my birfday today. I am doing really good. The vet lowered my pred and momma say soon we get new blood work to see if we can come off it. I am still on the other medication and not sure what vet will do on that one.
I am so happy to have two wonderful parents and an pretty sissy, Pocus.
I sure miss my brudder and sister Bruzer and Snorts who are at the Rainbow Bridge.

Momma say she might habe surprise for me today..

Pebbles and Immune Disease

In April 2003 my momma noticed that I was not as hyper as I used to be and that I was eating dirt and my gums were very pale. Off to the vet we go.. I love Dr. Joel and always so happy to see him. He did blood work and the initial diagnosis was anemia. So we got some iron pills and schedule another blood test in a week.. I never did seem to get better so after a week we go back and have another test. It was worse. Long story... short version... Momma takes me to a specialist and we start on some diff meds; however, I was getting worse with my blood count so I had to stay overnight at hospital and get a blood transfusion. I have been doing pretty good.. In Aug of 2004 , with such good blood work they try me off the pred but still on Imuran. I did well for about 6 months then went out of remission and now back on the pred. I feel fine.. It sure keeps me feeling hungry; but I am doing good at 19lbs.

Momma loves me very much and watches me all the time.
